Came across this very comprehensive compilation of our program's history.

The History of Longhorn Sports (texaslsn.org)

Depending on how long you've been following the program, there have been quite a few ups and downs (which I guess is true for all programs in all sports). There are for sure so many good moments, and unfortunately bad moments. Those which I can't ever forget:

Best -- 1986 National Championship win

Worst -- 1989 Sheryl Swoopes deciding to transfer out of Texas just two weeks into her true freshman Fall semester

I can't go back as far as some of y'all so I'll stick to more recent best and most disappointing instead of worst moments:

Best: Finally winning the Big 12 tournament last year and defeating a super-talented Baylor.

Most disappointing: 2018 NCAA tournament upset by UCLA in the Sweet-16. That team should have been a Final Four team at a minimum. It was Ariel's and Brooke's senior year. 10 McDonald's All-Americans with LaShann Higgs a defensive force and impact player on the offensive end, Joyner Holmes having her best season on the 40 acres as a freshman, Audrey-Ann Caron-Goudreau was such an underrated impact player on both ends with inside/outside game. That team took #1 Connecticut down to the wire at Erwin Center.
