From the looks of it, it’s not going to be on longhorn network.

Eggleston is for sure one of our OH. Second OH would most likely be between Parra and Kahahawai. Skinner has some good swings from the left side but the right side she was way more dominant. Makenna Miller is fearless. She has an arm on her! She got blocked a lot but kept swinging. OPP would be between Phillips and Skinner. Again Skinner was more dominant and hit hard and Molly mixed it up with power, touch, and placement. Just straight volleyball IQ. Molly had no errors at all. Ewert has the slight edge in setting in my opinion. She’s faster and sets the middles more. However Saige has the better serve. Crownover was also impressive as a walk on. O’Neal definitely was O’Neal. Bergmark and Caffey were impressive. Bergmark was slightly better but Caffey did great too. I expect her to start the more practice she gets. Defense is just wow. Fleck, Akana and Halter were incredible. This team is stacked.

If you have Facebook, there’s some volleyball groups. Texas Volleyball fans, women’s college volleyball nerdz, and women’s college volleyball nerds uncensored….some interesting fun groups.

    Ranked #2 in preseason.

    I think this is fair.

But, because we had more first place votes than #1 it also means we had lower votes, and several of them. Means we had a lot of threes or lower. That part doesn’t make sense. I think we are arguably the best team right now. But I definitely think we aren’t worse than #3.

Thought this would be tailor made for LHN. I mean how many more times can we watch past football game reruns.

5 sets were played yesterday and Texas won all 5. Different lineups were mixed in each set and Texas looked good in each set. As far as starting lineups my prediction is….
    S: SKT
    OH: Eggleston
    OH: Skinner
    MB: O’Neal
    MB: Caffey
    RS: Phillips/Akana
    L: Fleck
Now Parra could come in and serve for Skinner but what was interesting was that O’Neal wasn’t serving. It was Caffey who was serving and she had about 2-3 aces. Going to be a fun season with the amount of depth Texas has.

Another note is that Larson was not at the match and she wasn’t there for the orange and white scrimmage either. She recently posted about hosting camps in Nebraska in the coming weeks. It’s a 50% chance Larson will no longer be the volunteer assistant.

Jamie Morrison l do remember he was away for some games and present others but, If you go to Larson’s instagram you can see she removed all her wedding photos and photos of her husband. Has to make me wonder if something is going on with her and David and could be the reason she’s not with the team right now.

That is unfortunate for both of them on a personal level.

I know Larson was in Austin a few weeks ago as she and David Hunt were playing golf with UT women's soccer head coach, Angela Kelly. Larson still has it posted on her twitter (but she's much more active on Instagram).

It was an electric atmosphere in Columbus and Texas shut it down. Texas went in the hole 7-1 in the 2nd set, but came back to win. Ohio St is ranked #7, so a very good win. They go at it again tonight on the Big 10 Network

The turn around occurred in that second set after 5’5” Emma Halter came in. She looked so small on the floor besides Molly Phillips but gosh was she quick in that back row! She remained in the rotation the rest of the match!

Halter was fantastic and speaking of Molly Phillips, she was a BIG part of the comeback in Set 2 with 7 kills on 7 swings.

We did play a good game. Don't sleep on Asjia O’Neal this year. I thought she was very impressive last night. I think her training with national team has made a difference in her game.
