I never in one zillion years thought I’d say this, but we’re good on OL recruiting Not saying we would pass in this kid… feels good boys and girls to be in this position. Someone needs to get some pics on Flood to use in the future.
We're still after Mcvay and Heard for the OL. Shanahan may or may not be a take anymore, guess it depends on our current commits with him. As mentioned the staff sees him as an OL long term. With what we have and are going after, most likely his ship has sailed
IT made the trip to Venice, FL to see DE Damon Wilson. He says he continues to speak with the staff more and more, and will officially visit in the fall.
Another interesting trip that IT made today was to Arlington Martin to speak with CB Javien Toviano. He mentioned his decision is coming soon since he wants to commit before his senior season, he loves the Texas players and the "home" feel of the program, continues to build relationships with Sark and staff and is in regular communication with his former teammates who are now Longhorns (LB Trevell Johnson and S Morice Blackwell). IT added they'd be shocked if he wasn't in Austin for the Alabama game. Javien Toviano, Martin, Cornerback
LMAO Aggy claiming we paid Arch $12 mil and that Peyton offered him $15 mil not to go to Texas ... no link because I do not want to add to their click bait Still living rent free in Aggy head
If it is Wilson that would be huge as in, about as good as it gets. I like the signs… But, we must put a good product on the field this fall to hold the class together.
It's gonna' be bumpy. QB is very raw at this time. I don't know. We are still very early in the rebuild stage. The arrows are pointing straight up on the potential chart. We HAVE to show that we're well coached. Imaginative. Get every drop rung out from the rag. Full of effort. Flying around. Everything that is needed to show incoming recruits that they will be coached up.
If Card is still raw after an entire year working with Sark then that's not a good sign.... if Ewers as the number one QB of 2022 isn't at least somewhat competitive then that's also not a good sign. That's an indictment against Sark as a QB guru.
I don’t know. Sark’s reputation has been built over more than a decade and it would be hard to argue that the consensus among his peers is that he is probably the best in the business at developing QBs. So I would question the indictment statement. Keep in mind that Ewers has taken about two snaps at the college level so far.
Duke, While I want both to set the football world on fire, I have to remember that Card's appearances thus far have not exactly stirred memories of Randy McEachern coming off the bench to lead us to an undefeated regular season; but then, I have to remember sitting and watching the last game that Ewers started was less than memorable. Sark is about to earn that lofty salary. I personally think he is up to the challenge.
If Sark is the QB whisperer we all think he is, QB will not be a liability. The OL play will determine how well our offense runs. We have top 5 talent. Period THE end.
It's all about our play along the LOS along both sides of the ball...........we improve there and everything else falls into place.............if Sark dint know how to coach then I doubt Saban would have had him on his staff, esp. at the lofty position he was at.
