Before. Yes, his recruitment already had meat on the bone.

The non committed recruits are just like a lot of us die hard fans. Last year is not erased by 1 game. That game did represent a phenomenal atmosphere and showed up as a solid team which both are light years ahead of last year but its 1 game. The UTSA qb is going to hurt us just like BY did last week. Alabama does not have their typical stud RB so we got a reprieve a little. Some of yall dont like it but we do not have elite LB or at least not on the field. O is pretty darn good but he is not elite. By all the press, Hill is elite and would love for him to be on the 40 next year.

Yep, Certainly, anyone has a right to be skeptical after one game, especially after last season. With UTSA's excellent running QB we'll likely take a LB'r and position him as a spy since he may be their most dangerous running threat. I think our DB's and two LB's will cover receivers well most of the time. And I would expect our front seven to stymie their run game and force them to pass. So, stopping the big gaining scramble is a huge priority. I don't think UTSA will score more than 21, and I think we will score over 30. We should win the game.

It's Vasek. Twittersphere stating that it has been smoothed out with the coaches. This one may be fun to revisit as we head down the back stretch.

Saw Vasek play last year - he has a high motor and a nasty streak when the helmet goes on. Like that. Big lanky frame to put some bulk on once he hits the chow hall and weight room - dude has big upside to be a beast in college ball. Would LOVE a dude like that in the foxhole next to me. He’s a killer.

George Bailey No beans in my chili, thank you

If this flip were to occur I fear it may have a negative impact on our relationship with Texas A&M University, a relationship dating back to 1894. It could possibly lead to slanderous comments in the most social of medias.

One thing is for sure, if the flip happens Hill was overrated and aggy didn't want his bad attitude to infect the team anyway.

In regards to Hill. Don't expect anything anytime soon. Would be a surprise if this wasn't a season long slow burn. Bama and OU were above us in the pecking order so we still have lots of work.
If our D balls out the rest of the year like they did against bama and gags crater out , I like our chances.
Can't believe im saying this but am pulling for the canes on Saturday.

To me it’s difficult not to conclude that our 2022 team is very different from last year. In Game 2 last year, we were completely outcoached and outplayed by a team that may struggle to compete with Alabama. Couple that with an atmosphere last Saturday so special that the entire sports media complex was talking about it for days. With a star quarterback out, we took arguably the best team in the country to the brink.

To me, to not conclude that this is a different team than last year‘s version would be to ignore the obvious. Could we stumble? Sure. But frankly, I don’t expect it, even if we have to go with a 3rd string quarterback Saturday that has never played.

There’s something different about this team; something very good.

The fact that Ewers leaving the game didn’t crush the hopes of the team (in fact they may have played harder afterwards) is 180 degree from last year against Arkansas. That was a cluster.
