Official Confidence Prediction Contest Thread for 2022 Season

Could you assign Confidence Points to first 12 games and exclude the Big XII Championship Game? You don't need to say how much the win will be but instead assign points from 1 to 12 for each game...using the point value once, i.e. vs. ULM Texas Wins 12, vs. Alabama Texas Loss 7 and so forth on remaining games.

Look at my submission as an example.

 

Is there a weekly scoring update?

My laptop took a crap and I had to order a new one today. Should be delivered on Friday. I hope so since I do more stuff like my finances on my laptop than just my Hornfans commitments, lol.

This next week there are only 4 contestants who picked Texas to win. It will be interesting to see if those of us who picked Texas to lose will pick them to lose in the weekly prediction contest.

 

My prediction was pre-season clairvoyance without any Koolaid. Hedging my bets

 

With 3 games left, @dukesteer will win the regular season points wise if Texas wins out. The Big XII Championship game is a moot point since nobody picked TCU to play Texas and @Statalyzer was the only one who picks Texas to lose in the championship game. I think it will come down to the Baylor game. The next two games everyone picked Texas to win but Baylor has some picks for a win and some for a loss.

Interesting that it will come down to Baylor to see who wins the season. Good Luck and let's hope Texas wins out!

Funny enough, the Texas Baylor game will likely decide who goes to the Big 12 Champ game. Win baby!

With the last week coming up we have 4 that can still get the overall season win-loss prediction correct: @Creek @BornOrange0855 @RainH2burntO @Statalyzer

A Texas win gives three of those contestants an 8-4 correct prediction and a loss gives the other one a 7-5 correct prediction.

The scores will be interesting to see if we lose the game but if we win then @Creek will win for the season.

 

I was surpised to see my pick. I thought for sure I had us winning this one. Oh well, I wouldnt have had enough points on it anyway to make up the difference.

Kind of funny that of the 4 of us, I was most pessimistic for the season but was the only one having us as winning this game. Means nobody can get both the Baylor game result and the Texas season result correct.

 

I think I actually picked 7-5, but it shows 8-4.

Final standings are updated and a big congratulations to @RainH2burntO for winning the inaugural Confidence Season Prediction Contest where he came from behind to win it with getting a correct season record of 8-4 and earning the extra 15 points to put him over the top.

Well I predicted 8-4 before the postseason so I am gruntled.

 

Being the magnanimous individual that I am, I will not demand a recount although clearly at 3AM this morning with all the precincts reporting, I had a huge lead.
