That is disappointing. As a former collegiate athlete, I totally understand being upset about losing the game. However, it is just a game and the game does not define us as a person. How we handle defeat after a tough loss speaks more to who we are. I know all the players and coaches had to be very upset about the loss. Yet I believe ALL of the players and coaches should have remained on the field for the playing of the school song. I applaud the ones who stayed on the field representing the University of Texas.
With road games, I’m not sure the players, coaches need to stay on the field any longer than necessary in this day and age - once the game is over -win or lose - get to the locker room -the way we get treated on the road, it’s inviting trouble Home games - completely different story - it’s a must
