I was at the game, overall you have to tip your hat to TCU. I don’t think Bijan made one person miss the whole game, TCU flat made the tackle on him every time and THAT is phenomenal. TCU CB’s made several plays on the ball, dang good plays, those guys can flat cover and when we did catch it, the CB was contesting the catch almost every time. Yes there were drops by receivers in the first half, running game could never get started, Ewers missed seeing a wide open bijan for a touchdown. Both sides of the ball had to play perfect to beat this team and neither side did.
However, the defense aside from two plays, played damn good especially for the amount of time TCU had the ball. Hats off to the defense cause they flat did their job and deserve credit for their performance. I’ve been a little critical of them and they earned that criticism but tonight they grew up and deserve credit for their play. That is how you play defense and this time the defense did enough to win.
As for Ewers, he’s a freshman, he’s not ready to carry a team, yet. Calling for Card isn’t the answer. It’s Roschon, Bijan and any other upper classman’s burden to carry this team right now. Can’t be switching back and forth, these games are what grow a QB as painful as it may seem right now.
Can’t say enough about the defense, very proud of their effort.
