Crow is best when braised in butter with some garlic and sage, and just a dash of cardamom. Serve with dressing/stuffing, and mashed potatoes.

and cheers to Coach PK and the Texas D for an awesome performance against the best offense in the conference.

We sure found a real gem when we found Coach PK.

Now if just Second Half Steve can get the O back on track…

I think the next PK fan club meeting won’t just me in an empty room eating all the pretzels.

Probably doesn't since any reasonable Texas fan would have expected that to go along with an at least normal Texas offensive performance and a comfortable victree.

    Yeah, true.

But he didn't stipulate that beforehand.

Well, at the least, we don’t need to wring our hands about why our D is inept, and did we hire a dud DC? He’s good. It seems that his schemes are a bit more complex than average and it’s taken a while to get out players onboard. Almost reminiscent of Landry’s Flex Defense—almost TOO complicated, but it works real well when your players get it and execute. Even now, I wonder about LB play (notwithstanding some big plays by Overshown and Ford).

Chop, great game by the defense last night, but sorry, the overall body of work does not make me a believer. Repeat last night for the next two games and whatever crappy bowl they go to and maybe I will start to change my view.

He can have mine, my grandson's, and pretty much everyone sitting in my area. Has he improved? Some, but no one will ever talk about him in the same conversation with Rick Lantz or Leon Fuller.

That defense was down right nasty last night. Remove the 75 yard missed assignment they barely had 100 yards of offense through three quarters. 5 sacks, 14 tackles for loss.....hard hitting all night long.

Kudos to the staff for getting them prepared.

    Pickle_Nuts Will travel with tickets.

Patterson is making $125 a year, if he was the “mastermind” he would send CDC a text and ask for more dough.

PK and scheme is improving, GP is an advisor, Sark and the O are the problem.

Didnt actually watch the game but as noted, TCU didnt get to 25 so bring me leftovers from the pk family reunion. Its hilarious reading these posts. Did it really take 2 years to learn his scheme? Was this a real d or a fluke? If we can avoid being shafted with ku and bu then perhaps its real. Oh yea, we get one of those year end things called a bowl game too. Maybe over the next 3 games we can get a complete game by all 3 phases, wouldnt that be rich!

Keep PK. He's done a decent job so far. The O needs to step it up as we saw vs TCU and the D scored our only TD. But the lack of production by our O led to the D wearing down.

I don’t know, but the stunting, different blitzes, and constant pressure site felt like what we used to see from GP at tcu. I haven’t seen that all year from the defense (wasn’t able to see the Bama game so maybe they did it there in that game).

PK does not strike me as an egomaniac. One commentator I heard said he expressed thanks for the help Patterson has given him, and how he has learned a lot from Patterson.

    Question.

Rank these defenders from 1-4 (1 is most positive). in terms of positive impact on our run D. And, if you like, take a guess as to who they are.

    A. Makes tackles on 21% of run plays at an average depth of tackle at 2.4 yards per.

    B. Makes tackles on 21% of run plays at average depth of tackle at 3.5 yards per.

    C. Makes tackles on 18% of run plays at an average depth of tackle of 3.2 yards per.

    D. Makes tackles on 17% of run plays at an average depth of tackle at 2.1 yards per.

On solid internal evidence, GP was a Del Conte decision without consulting Sark. Not good from the outset. Coaches don’t like unaccountable second guessing, duh. Players, understandably, ignore most of the input. They are young and don’t question authority, even if it is apparent. Puts them in a **** situation. That said, he knows D and his input, however poorly delivered is valuable. Better handles, it could have been a win/win. Now it’s just a little uncomfortable.

PK is putting some good games together. I might have to change my opinion if the D looks good against Baylor.
