They were well-coached enough to execute it perfectly. He didn't even seem to think it was a risk, he was so confident in their preparation.
Looks like late FGs by highly ranked teams against unranked teams to win is the deal today. Meatchicken pulls it out.
Bielema has caught a lot of flak for his off the field shenanigans and such. He also has that Curly Joe look going. But he’s a good football coach.
This may have been the difference in that game. Michigan had a hard time moving the ball and scoring today. Give them half a field and it’s much easier to get to FG range. Really good kicker for Michigan. Moody.
FWIW, Sonny said they practice the hurry-up FG every Thursday in practice. Has to admit in the email I sent him that I had given up on them.
I understand both Baylor's and Illinois' philosophy when they last had the ball. But they both played their series with the sole goal of making TCU and Michigan eat their timeouts. They didn't play to ice the game. And it bit them in the arse. I can't say I'd do it differently than they did, but that strategy seems to fail just as often as it succeeds.
Iowa/Minnesota tied at 10 in the fourth . . . Minn running back is pulling a Robinson and is over 230 for the day.
Michigan is seriously beat up with key players injured. I hope they beat Ohio State, but it will be tough.
watching USC and ucla. me thinks Caleb Williams will win the Heisman or should win the Heisman. And I don't like him.
OU-Okie State = bad monotony Texas-Kansas = good monotony I had to change over to the USC-UCLA game, where my ears won’t be assaulted by Boomer Sooner.
Maybe Okie Lite made the assumption that because Texas beat OU 49-0, tonight’s game would be a cakewalk. Of course we know that college football is not always logical and that bad things can happen when you assume something like that.
Oklahoma State has fallen completely apart since beating us. This doesn't look like the same OU squad that lost to the worst team in the conference a week ago.
