I don't think that is the definition of "holding all the cards". Twitter stock is likely 60% over valued right now because that's the value the market has placed on the leverage that they have on Musk. I look for a settlement in the near future.
When you have the power to tank the stock, yeah, you pretty much hold the cards. If there was a likelihood of the deal being forced at the previous price, there should be a ton of call contracts being bought and sold for prices north of $50 a share. There aren't. Given that Elon can tank the stock, he holds the cards...how do you REALLY think the negotiation goes when his first salvo is..."So how about I drop 73M shares on the open market with the press of a send button on my phone?" Followed by his next question of "Should I direct them to be sold at $15 a share or less?" It is the advantage of having not just "f*ck you" money, but having "f*ck everyone" money...loosely borrowing from James Garner in Barbarians at the Gate.
348/409/427/454 - same piece of crap engine I owned one 454. 15 trips to the shop in 13 months. Last trip the regional VP of Chevrolet division told the Chevy store, "The block is good, if it moves, replace it". I wound up with a custom built 454 that was the fastest 454 in Texas. When I got it back, I sold the car for more than I paid for it, went down and bought a 460 Mercury Cougar. Chevy built two of the three best engines to come out of Michigan in the 283 & 327, but all those others were the same design and total pieces of ****. Rings? Why? Couldn't seat them.
Either way, I don’t think I would have admitted that publicly. You need to drink Deez style manly beer.
Very busy guy... Elon Musk 'begged Sergey Brin for forgiveness after sleeping with his wife Nicole Shanahan' | Daily Mail Online
Elon better ship my starlink receiver soon or I'm going to cancel my order. He's had my $99 deposit for almost 18 months now. My account still says it's expected to ship mid '22 and we are quickly moving past that.
The people in prison in the States for pot aren't there for personal use amounts...it takes five POUNDS to even reach the third-degree range, in Texas, and that is a BUNCH of pot. When Nate Newton got busted, it was with something like 213 pounds and then he got caught AGAIN while on bond with another 175 or so pounds. In the late 60's, I would have conceded the point but even then, it was not their first dance at the legal rodeo. Those have all long since been released and, if they returned to prison, it was because of new criminal conduct...
And that would be a category that is even less in number...most of those popped on a misdemeanor only see a cell long enough to be booked in and out, and may not even see a cell. Most nowadays are given an appearance summons and released from the scene if all they were found with was the small amount of pot...
I burned a few calories trying to prove you wrong. Alas, as you know, you are on point. I'm sure there are some outliers but Elon appears to be wrong as well. That hurt to type.
Has anyone seen the requires to become one of those 87,000? Four year degree? Is it like Houston Metro where two juco degrees equals a four year degree? Can they hire their new "boyfriend" right out of unranked college for $98,000/yr? Are there any requirements at all? Can a guy with a degree in English from Indiana University turn this into a 40 year career? (See also Medicare)
When I see things like this and what's going on in Arizona it makes me wonder when is this **** going to end.
