Selection show tonight on ESPNU/ESPN+ at 6:30 CST. They are seeding 32 teams this year vs the previous years when they only seeded the Top 16. Friday night should be a top 32 match in Gregory. Rice, Houston, Baylor and/or Nebraska are all possibilities for regional weekend. If you're thinking of going now would be the time to buy.

8pm CST both nights. Thursday will be 8pm or 30 minutes after first match between Georgia and Towson (whichever is later). Men's basketball plays Thursday at 6, women's basketball plays Friday night and supposedly they are moving that up from the 7pm tip.

    Info on parking at Speedway:

"Season parking will not be valid as post season volleyball parking will be single game and through UT Parking & Transportations Services; however, they do have it online now with Click and Park. Hopefully basketball (men’s on Thursday and women’s on Friday) parking will be contained in Manor, Trinity and East Campus Garages as it is for the season. "

Great, now we’re talking. I see Marquette as a real warmup for the 3 matches to likely follow. First test will be against Minn, I presume.

I am hopeful Marquette is nothing but a warmup for us, especially if we bring the same energy and focus we did in the first two rounds. Minnesota and OSU are so freaking schizophrenic. Both of them had the talent and experience to contend for the Big10 championship and both played their way out of contention losing to teams that weren't even in the top half of the Big 10. I think it will be Minnesota emerging from the semis. They are playing the hottest right now. It could just as easily be a Minny sweep as a 5 setter, though. I'm really hoping that they can't string together back to back winning matches.

Marquette will be no push over. We must stay focused on only Marquette, no one else.

Certainly Marquette could win. Not probable but could if Horns play down a little. This is the top 16 left so all 8 underdogs can pull an upset. Hope it’s one of the other top 4 seeds. I would think Ohio State would be better for Horns. Ladies beat ‘em back to back early so might indicate a match-up problem for Buckeyes against horns. GO HORNS!

Everybody has a matchup problem with the Horns this year.

The most important opponent worthy of intense focus is the next opponent.

Ohio St eliminated Minnesota to move on to the Regional Final to hopefully meet Texas for the 3rd time this season and the first on the Longhorn’s home court.

In Louisville, Oregon fought off 4 match points in Set 4 to eliminate #2 seed Nebraska in 5 Sets. I’m never sad to see Nebraska lose and their coach complained about having to play so early today so whiners go home. Oregon plays the Baylor/Louisville winner.

Short interview with Logan after the match...the third set was not good. Texas hit .250. Logan attributed everything to "our side of the court". They talked about it and the fourth set was back to what you saw in the first two.

I was talking about the winner of the match (Ohio St), not Minnesota.

Okay, the warm-up match was exactly that, a warm-up.

Apparently Marquette had their margarita party before the match started and Texas had theirs between the 2nd and 3rd set. Both finally sobered up for the 4th and Texas talent proved superior, even with the SE's.

It's really hard yo beat the same team 3x in the same season. If Texas has 13 SE's against OSU they will lose. I'm, afraid that will be their downfall. I watched a little bit if Minny/OSU and OSU looks much better than they were at the beginning of the season.

If Texas has 13 more than OSU does, you're probably right.

IT is great to see so much student support for the team and support from so many different student athletes. I really liked seeing Coach Beard attending with his team.

I’m not thrilled about having to score a trifecta in any sport really, but I dare say Texas is a much better team than they were at the beginning of the season as well. It took until conference play for Skinner to hit her stride for instance. I’m concerned about the health of Kayla Caffey since she missed the last half of the match. Bella Bergmark did a good job taking her place. We do have depth, just feel better knowing we have the full arsenal at this crucial point of the season.

Unless OSU finishes as a top 2 team, Longhorns will win.

I am admittedly a neophyte when it comes to volleyball. I listen to coach Elliott and it's obvious how much I don't understand about the strategy. Having said that, I did watch almost all of the Gopher-Buckeye game, and I've watched most of the Horns games. It seems to me that the Horns are a much more well-oiled machine. We have an obvious abundance of hitters, but a couple of other things stood out. In the B-10 matchup a large number of spikes were deflected wildly, or missed completely. Made me realize how often Zoe, (and Emma) was there with a controlled response. The other thing was sets. The B-10 team setters were pretty inconsistent. Brought home how consistent Saige has been. If we play to our potential, we should beat OSU.

Job isn't done. We must block out the noise (hype) and play our game. Everything else will take care of itself.
