So, I posed a question on the other trending VB thread - how many NC's have the Lady Horns won in their history.... is it 3, 4, 5 ? Honestly don't know.
I'm sure some other schools have cool things like this but what's cooler than having a big beautiful tower on your campus flooded with your colors at night and a number 1 lit up in the windows on every side to mark the natty? That is some major cool **** right there.
This has always been one of my favorite things about the UT campus. Especially the different lighting configurations with different meanings. For any given student walking around campus, they'll most likely notice, think "Why's the tower lit like that? I think that's supposed to be a non-sports thing..." and later they'll look it up and find out a professor won an IEEE Medal of Honor. Something the average student might not hear about, but now they did.

i just checked the link and the latest post is from Nov 27 about vball winning the Big 12. Odd that they have not updated it for the title.
I didn't look. It's a shortcut on my computer. I follow the sports stuff so never had to wonder when something in sports happened. It was those Tuesday mornings in the summer when there wasn't a sporting event that I'd go to this site to figure out what non-sporting event was responsible for the tower being lit.
I like that they chose Zoe to hold the trophy. She was everywhere, making all kinds of incredible digs, and great sets. She didn't get near the acclaim she deserved.
She's the only one who can stand in front without blocking the view of everyone behind her. But seriously, she's my favorite player, and I like it when the less-flashy-but-just-as-valuable people get their due.
I know Logan fans may not like this but she should've been MVP. And her not making the all tournament team is a bigger travesty than some of the B12 all conference football selections.

Yes, a silly poll given so much has been reported on the fact the criteria for jersey retirement is winning NPOY. CDC was at the Foundation's pre-natty match tailgate and was asked about this very thing. He mentioned waiting 5 years. Obviously that's a relatively new thing since they didn't wait 5 years for Durant.
