Cutaneous B-Cell Lymphoma to be exact. I never thought that I'd get cancer, but I did, and I'd appreciate all the prayers I can get.

Luckily I will be seeing one of, if not the best doc there is when it comes to this stuff at MD Anderson. And the prognosis looks good, if it hasn't spread to my lymph nodes. We'll find out after the tests come back.

Good news. All the tests to see if it has spread have come back negative. Even so, the docs at MDACC are going to put me through chemo and then radiation. I'll have to miss all but the last two games in Austin, but it's a small price to pay to get rid of cancer. Thanks for all the prayers, and please keep them coming.

    ^GREAT NEWS!!! [IMG]

Sounds like your doctor has a very good plan for continuing the treatment to be sure nothing further develops. Please do keep us posted, and we will continue to pray to God for continued improvement for you.

Update: I am halfway through my chemo treatments, and the cancer is GONE. We kind of knew that when the tumors on my scalp went away after the first chemo treatment, but the CT scans have confirmed it. Now I just have to get through the second half of chemo and the radiation. So please keep the prayers coming. The support of prayer makes the fight easier. Also please keep all the patients and folks who work at MD Anderson in your prayers. There are lots of Longhorn faithful there (it is a branch of The University), but even ags and sooners shouldn't have to go through having cancer.

Thanks again for the prayers and support. And know that cancer is not a death sentence most of the time. If you or anyone you know gets diagnosed, please do not hesitate to send them to MD Anderson. It's the best place on the planet to get treated, and worth the hassle (travel, etc.). I've met many folks who have gotten into remission with great prognosis for complete recovery while at MDA. Some of them had much nastier diagnoses than mine.

    Hook 'Em and God bless!!

Just wanted to give y'all the latest update. I'm about 18 months out from my first chemo and I'm still cancer free. Got my results from my latest CT scan this morning, and they are the four best words I could hear: No evidence of lymphoma.

Thanks again to all of you out there who prayed for me. It really works. And I am thankful to God for my beautiful bride, my loving family and friends and THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS M D ANDERSON CANCER CENTER!!!

    Hook 'Em!!!

MD Anderson is the place to be. That place has saved many a family member and friends. I donate a lot of money to them every year as a thank you.

Got my semi-annual CT scan done last week and the results are clean!! I also got my hearing tested (I've had ringing in my ears from the chemo) and they said that my hearing is doing just fine - haven't lost any since the original tests and well within normal range.

I can't say how thankful I am for the people who have prayed for me. It means a great deal.

    God bless, and Hook 'Em!!

Just wanted you Hornfans to know that I'm 3 years cancer free, and even though the chemotherapy was supposed to make me sterile, my wife and I welcomed our new baby girl into the world about 3 weeks ago.

God is good, and prayers get answered. I'm living proof, and now so is my baby girl. Thank you all for praying for me and my family.
