I think it's easier to be consistent on defense than offense. And SF has a better defense than Dallas. But Purdy is the wild card. Does he continue to play well, or is the moment too big for him? Dallas' run defense is suspect, IMO. And that will take the pressure off Purdy so I'm picking the Niners. Score will be respectably close, but I think the Niners are in control the entire way.

    Prediction from nfl.com--

"It's not just that the 49ers have two extra days of rest. Nick Bosa, for example, has played fewer snaps in the past two games combined (65) than Micah Parsons did on Monday night (79).
Dallas has a big edge at quarterback and is the rare team that can match San Francisco's top-end talent, player for player. The Cowboys' talent, however, isn't as deep. Kyle Shanahan will put a target on Cowboys linebacker Anthony Barr, as well as cornerbacks DaRon Bland and Xavier Rhodes. Putting Deebo Samuel and Christian McCaffrey together unlocks another level of this offense that even Parsons can't erase."

    Referencing an earlier post...
Dont see how anyone can view the AFC over the NFC this year as a lock.
I dont see anything that tells me KC, Buffalo, Cincy, and Jville are necessarily any better than SF, Phillly, Dallas, and New York.
I love AFC football...always have. But, hard to argue an airtight case for a sure bet over NFC this year.
As for the field...Every team has evident flaws. Id say the top 3 teams in both conferences still playing are a push/pick em vs one another on just about any day. The SB spread will be tight. KC will probably get the most spread love out of all those potential matchups, but Im not sure its deserved.
Right now I give KC and SF slight best odds to face off for the trophy and can see KC as about a 1.5 pt fave.
Id readily view SF as the best overall team IF they had a more seasoned QB. They are very well built and stout across the board...but theres that 1 thing.
Dallas is a much better team than given credit for here....but injuries and unpredictable Dak weighs. Josh Allen has been off and they have impactful injuries as well. SF has a rookie QB. Cincy suspect oline, Philly I dont trust Hurts right now, Jville a year or two away, Giants same, KC suspect pass D and prone to letdowns.

I see this year, like recent ones, a lot of parity and competitive games with hard to pinpoint any overwhelming favorite to hoist. KC has earned the easiest path and has the least troubling or glaring fatal flaw(s). They did squeak by a few weak teams this year and lost at home to Cincy last year...and took magic to escape the divisional round. People forget they barely beat SF in the SB they won..took some magic..and this SF team is better (QB question notwithstanding)... and again they have a penchant for letdowns. I can see any of the top 3 nfc teams beating them...or an AFC team. (They are lucky they only will play one of Cincy and Buffalo this year). I had Buffalo in the AFC until recent injuries and Allen looking a little off. Have to lean KC there for now.
NFC is a real tough call. Along w SF, Philly is very good on both sides of the ball.
Should be a fun few weeks if you like pro football.

I can see any of the teams losing this weekend or anytime with the only exception maybe being KC this week...but who knows.
    ...Thats my point

    WorsterMan SEC here we come!!

So, I'll throw out a possible call from the deep woods...

Might the Cowboys shock and seriously rise up, seize the opportunity and play with a season high focus and determination?

While beating the 49er's on the road when NOBODY predicted it!?

    Dream!?

    Maybe, maybe not?
