I think something Stan isn't including (maybe purposefully?) from his little rant is that guys played hurt in the 90s. I think a combination of things has happened since then outside the conspiracy theory that players are getting "more hurt": Regular season is watered down and too many teams make the playoffs Work-life balance has shifted (call it for better or for worse... it's just different) The focus on speed and athleticism from a young age means bigger collisions and harder falls.
