Yeah his teams really pack them in the box. His players are also quite adept at penetrating the red zone. And they really gang up on the person holding the ball. They hit em from the front and back, wrap em up, and take ‘em down. They gang up and hit em hard. They stick em, stick em, and stick em again and again.

Per IT it sure sounds like the odds on favorite for the WR coaching job is Chris Jackson, now of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Same job. If the Chiefs win today, we should know soon.

This started after the WR coach at bama rumor. Don't have much info on him.
Apparently Sark is not overly concerned about the wr coach's recruiting ability. He is looking for wr development.

IMHO, this aspect of our game has been weak for most of the past decade.

Jahmal Fenner (former Austin LBJ HS Coach) to UT as director of high school relations (the ink isn't dry yet...)

Jahmal Fenner steps down as football coach at LBJ. Is UT job next?

Austin LBJ coach Jahmal Fenner steps down

Longhorns Expected to Hire Austin LBJ Coach Jahmal Fenner Sr As Director of High School Relations

AUSTIN - According to multiple reports the Texas Longhorns are expected to name Austin LBJ head football coach Jahmal Fenner as the program's director of high school relations in the coming days.

Fenner resigned from his position at LBJ on Monday.

In five seasons with LBJ, Fenner won a state title in 2021 and accumulated a 49-13 overall record

Fenner will replace former DFW area coach Chris Gilbert, who left the program this offseason to accept the assistant head coach and tight ends coach job with the North Texas Mean Green.

2020 HIGH SCHOOL COACH OF THE YEAR, presented by Bush's Chicken*:

    JAHMAL FENNER

    :clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

*much better than Church's, Lisa's, Williams, Golden Chick, or Zaxby's

2020 Coach of the Year Coach Jahmal Fenner LBJ Jaguars
In 2020, the LBJ Jaguars had their deepest playoff run in their 47 year history. In just his third season at the helm of Jag Nation, Coach Fenner led his team to a 9-3 record, reaching the 5th round of the playoffs, just one game from the State championship.

Coach Fenner and his staff often found themselves looking across the field to an opponent with twice as many suited up players.

A well-known, successful, well-respected Texas high school coach. Looks like a good choice.

By all accounts, Chris did a great job for us.
I hope Jahmal can do as well or better and wish him all the best.

Yeah. I get Gilbert jumping to a college coaching job. Our recruiting under Sark has been very, very good. Gotta keep the train on the tracks.

So Okiestate hires a coach from Gannon as DC
And Texas hires a NFL WR coach from a team who made it to second round of play offs.

I like the idea of a WR coach with NFL coaching experience joining the staff.
Perhaps this may translate into better route running and maybe the new coach can inspire a certain receiver to actually make an attempt to go after a ball that is not going to hit him on his face mask. This should bode well for recruiting with a coach who has had success in making professional wrs better as for as stats are concerned.
To me it is critical that wr and qb be on the same page, duh. Maybe the new coach can improve this. Sometimes it was almost comical the ball landing on the ground 5 yards to the left of the wr.

I am so hoping that Ewers will turn into a Joe Burrow!

Biggest problem I have with Mike hiring the guy from Little Rabbit Tech School is that he spent a couple of years at Youngstown State, home of some of college football's least desirable human beings.

does he have more experience with "offense" than I could read? Is that just for salary? Marion came known as a creative offensive mind.

I took it to mean Execution. Not actually calling the play .
But that was just My Take.

    So like...
...does this mean Sark will delegate some unimportant things, like calling the plays, to the new "Passing Game Coordinator"...

Y'all know more than I do
But I took it to mean Execution, the connecting the passer with the receiver.
Working with the Qb and receiver together. Helping each qb/wr duo to improve as a unit.
I did not take the use of the term "game" to mean calling plays during a game
