    Misdemeanor domestic violence arrest.
Read his partners side of the incident, what was reported any way.
I guess it doesn’t matter what his story is.

Glad I’ve never been in a situation where I felt the need to hit or push a woman.

Damn this is a tough story. She accuses him of pushing her to the ground but the police observed no injuries bruises scratches and she refused medical treatment.
If he did push or even threaten her there should be ramifications.
If he didn't, there is no way of knowing. Sad situation for all

It is a misdemeanor charge, as opposed to the felony charge leveled at our ex BB coach.

Why did she call the police? Seriously. I got pushed once by a drunk friend and cut my elbow when I fell. I didn't freaking call the cops on him. Needed stitches but still.

it's just different for females. you can't compare to yourself. at college, when my daughter left a building on campus at night, she walked with someone or has someone on the phone. she's been tailed by an unmarked van driving home. when i leave a building at night, i look around then walk to my car.

when a guy pushes me, i get angry. if a 300 pound 7 foot guy pushes me, i get scared.

this is probably another situation where the punishment does not fit the crime.

I don't agree with "if he pushed her or threatened her there should be ramifications".
    that's just not serious enough.

I think if a man especially a man his size threarens a woman there should be ramifications. A woman should not live in fear from being threatened.
But in his case right now we don't know what really happened.

If a couple gets into a fight, and the female shoves or pushes or punches her BF, him pushing her back shouldnt send him to jail, especially if she doesn't even have a scratch.

This isn't a case of some 5'2 girl being stalked in West Campus at midnight by a strange 300 pound man.

03 You are absolutely right. A man trying to prevent a woman from hitting him has every right to try to stop it.
We don't know what happened here. He should get the benefit of presumed innocence. That there were no visible signs of him laying a hand on her AND she refusing to go to hospital says alot.
I hate that we have never heard Beard's side. And now not here either

But I do think a 6ft+ 200 lb+ man threatening5'5 125 lb woman should suffer consequences. Living in fear is no way to live

most threats are heat of the moment words.
however a woman should not live in fear, especially if a guy is hell bent on domination. Time to get out of dodge.

Dude, you twisted my whole point. I said you can't compare how a man would respond to how a woman would. They have a different experience. Women are, for the most part, more physically vulnerable.

No one should be hitting anybody. That would solve a lot of problems.
