Yep. Wednesday is as good as gone for much of the state. The big q is whether schools will be open on Thursday, or do they wait until Friday?

This is the first storm I can recall the weathermen using the term "Thundersleet".

Numerous closures in the DFW area. According to the TV news, travel is very difficult. Temps not expected to rise above freezing today - maybe late tomorrow.

I've had enough winter - I'm ready for Spring. Pitchers and catchers report in 14 days!

IH 30 shut down in Rockwall. It’s messy boys (and girls) if only Beto had won.

I'm fine so far. However, after my last power outage on Christmas Eve I bought a portable generator. I'm prepared, baby!

We bought a new house (built in 1980) that has a fireplace in living room but also came with a wood burning stove in bedroom. Those suckers warm a room marvelously! Combine that with LC's romanticism with the wifey, and you got :fire::yes:

No, not that I'm aware. We prefer older homes and nieghborhoods with established trees and such, and we learned the architect designed museums and other cool buildings and homes, some in Austin I believe. So the house has unique touches, like the stove. No room is a perfect square or rectangle. It's really a cool house. Lucky and happy to be in it.

But as for the stove, I highly recommend. It puts out good heat and doesn't take up much space.

Ill send you a pic later.

Those who have lost power: do you have gas or electric heating?

Power flickering here but not out long enough to reset all clocks. I suspect it's from heavy branches on lines? Lost a big limb in the front yard.

Yes we had one in the small cottage (in the living area) we rented in Vermont.

Ice on branches can add 30 times it weight. Very important to keep trees trimmed, especially near power lines.

Hope you don't lose power :hookem:

So far so good, but it's not my trees. It's the ones along the main road where the power lines are above ground.
