Auburn is the only one that has to play Alabama and Georgia every year.

For many years UGA opened with Clemson. Expansion of the SEC stopped that a couple of decades back. I'd like to see that rivalry. The two schools aren't very far apart, and paves the way for Clemson to be added to the SEC along with FSU, Texas Tech, & oSu.

I guess this means there isn't any chance the SWC gets back together?

I am happy that an early exit was worked out.
While I am not necessarily thrilled by the $ec, I see no need to hang around in a lame duck conference for another three years.
If we're going then let's get the hell out of here.
If I wanted to express joy, instead of exclamation points I would have used a dancing banana. :coolnana: ;)

Hahah I sure hope you’re right poms. I like your moxy.
I like tio think that our hard fought battles with the Kansases and Iowa States of the world have prepared us. Iron against iron.

One thing that gives me hope is that outside of arky and aggy and ou,maybe we won’t be every team’s Super Bowl. they might take us only as seriously as our .600 record deserves.

For my part, I am much more giddy to know we are scraping the Baylors and Texas Techs of the world off the bottom of our shoes.

Granted, there is some nasty stuff in the SEC into which we may also trod, but for now the prospect of having clean shoes and a wallet not being drained by a host of welfare queens is rather refreshing.

Nah... I just like the idea of seeing us play those teams at home. The atmosphere will be electric. I will never say SEC SEC SEC... I got a kick out of Aggy's reaction when they left and when they realized we're coming. It's just football to me and I love Texas. That's it.

As we used to say in high school:

“It’s been real. And it’s been fun.
But it hasn’t been real fun.”

If you look at that chart, it actually shows tt as a yearly opponent. I can find no value in that crap so I hope its a mistake! Never seeing the fecal canal called lubbock Texas would be a win no matter what else happens!!

Its ironic that Texas and ou have to pay these large exit fees when atm and the nebraska did not pay like that.

Someone at Big XII HQ must have realized that the last two cash cows were leaving and accordingly decided that some extortion was in order.

The Horns and OU we're still contractually obligated to the Big 12, therefore had to buy their way out. I don't remember whether the Aggies or Nebraska were still under contract or if they left at the end of their obligation.

Future schedule rotation looks favorable to Texas to me …. Separating Alabama and Georgia, separating Auburn and Florida … I’ll take it

The chart is part serious and part joke (app state for aggy). No one really knows.

App St was SUPPOSED to be the aggys' body-bag game. Turns out there's an ag in the bag.

It was 100 million for Texas and OU to escape.
The 12.4 million was for Aggie and Nebraska.

This looks division-free, for the most part. Assuming there's any truth to it, how exactly are teams selected for the CCG? 1-2 based on record?

Yes; but if one was losing the money makers for their business before a contract ends, that is prolonging survival/hope for a replacement- not extortion.

Most of their fans are in the Houston area. I think it is appropriate.
