I honestly like our bracket. It’s tough but based on the play of the teams in our bracket we have a legit shot at the elite 8 and possibly final 4. Stanford will be tough because they are so tall so rebounding will be key this tournament.

Teams like Louisville and Iowa are point guard dominant teams and we have in my opinion the best on ball defender in the country. I believe we can get past Louisville with Harmon playing but don’t want to get too far ahead. I watched ECU and they are no slouch by any means. I think we needed that last loss to Iowa state to get this team hungry because it’s now win or go home.

You might want to double check yourself there. South Carolina isn't in our bracket, thank goodness.

My scout after going and watching 3 games of ECU they go to is the big guard #22 I believe McNeal. She is they Swiss army matchup problem she puts you in the mind of a poor man Bre amber scott as far as what we’ve seen this year. She going to get shots but it’s whether they make em or not. They also play through they star freshman and she is good but she can’t hang with deyona, Faye, & Tay let along Amina. We have way to many bodies to throw at her. She is 6’2 and pretty athletic so D and her will be a matchup. They’re PG is steady and I like her she not flashy and she runs they team but she will knock down open shots. Overall, I don’t think they have legit enough scoring to play with us and really can’t defend us. It is tourney time and they coach is a good one and will have us scouted so I expect a fight but think we should win.

Sounds like an evening game based on ticketing info I got. But SXSW will mean hotels are at a premium. Good luck.

Geno says anti-UConn bias is why they got a 2 seed instead of a 1.

    :rolleyes1:

He's full of sh*t. How many years was UConn SET UP to play in the Hartford region or some other location in very close proximity to Connecticut?

When I wished for a later start time I was thinking 8:00….8:30 at the very latest. It’s a Saturday though, support the team and attend that late church service or sleep in on Sunday.

You’re right I skipped a game that’s my bad. We would see South Carolina in the final 4. If we get passed Stanford in the sweet 16 we would possibly see Iowa in the elite 8.

:hookem: Coach has concerns for the fans. Pointing out people will not be leaving until after midnight.Parents with young kids and senior citizens, all who support the team.

ND announced Olivia Miles is out the remainder of the season. Thinking we might have gotten a 3 seed had that been know but who knows. We’ve got Sonya as our own unknown. Nevertheless I didn’t expect Miles back.

And, I get the feeling ND knew that a week ago or longer but wasn't about to make it public so the committee wouldn't ding them 1-2 seed lines and risk not hosting a sub-regional.

The difference with Sonya is that she appears to be trying to rehab and get healthier; her injury is not one (like an ACL) that is season ending. She just hasn't healed as quickly as was hoped.
