Thats funny. Yes he was committed to us and backed off when bama came knocking. Its tough for any kid to ignore saban as he has the track record on the field and putting players in the pros. Part of that is if you recruit elite level kids then yes they are going to the pros but saban has the skins to back up his claims.

Wasn't expecting any commitments from this weekend. Mostly still building relationships. We received lots of positive reviews and several recruits are firming up their "official" visits. Good news is that we're in as good a spot as we've ever been with Simmons.
Hope this is legit but I read one comment that lsu didnt have room or something like that. Would rather it be that he loved Texas and wasnt interested in the mud bugs.
A couple of months ago, I didn't think Simmons would be in the class. Now I think it's quite likely. LSU insiders believe UT has taken a big leap and now has a huge lead. Not sure where the story of not having room for one of the top players in Tx came from.
