Hard to speculate because there is so much maneuvering, and posturing. Doubt he’ll drop past 10… My most likely: 40% - To Philly and he would make them dominant. 30% - Great for the Bills but they really need to shore up their D. 10% Each - Cowboys, Chargers, Lions
I wish I could remember how many times in my lifetime that the Iggles were supposed to be dominant. They usually find a way to 'aggy' things up. Latest example, the last Super Bowl.
Yeah, Atlanta sort of came out of the blue for the first time this morning. That would kind of suck. As much as I don't like Philadelphia I kind of want him to go there because I think he would really kick butt there.
Congrats to Bijan. One of the best backs I’ve ever seen and a class act. He represented the University of Texas very well. We were lucky to have him. I wish him all the best.
Love Bijan. Hate him going to Atlanta. Hope they can block for him but he may again be a one man show.
The Falcons have a lot of skill pieces in place. A decent OL too. The problem is QB. No one trusts Desmond Ridder to develop anywhere near the likes of guys like Hurts or Fields (who they should have drafted instead of Pitts two years ago). Bijan is going to have to make a lot happen on his own. Word is Detroit was going to nab him if Atlanta didn't. Despite their franchise woes, that might have been a better landing spot.
Meanwhile Colts trade up to draft Richardson at #4, who hasn't actually played QB well so far in his career. I don't blame them for not thinking Ehlinger is the guy of the future, but drafting a guy that high who was worse than him in college because they were impressed how far he can bomb the ball against air is a head scratcher.
I might slap a Falcons decal on my vehicle, just to annoy all the people with big Houston Texans stickers on theirs. Or maybe not. It might just aggravate them into driving worse than they already do.
Maybe the Falcons they trade up for Will Levis at the beginning of Day 2. They have two picks in R2. It is hard to believe, but according to ESPN, the odds of Levis still being on the board by the end of the first round were something like 1 in 1000. Very odd situation.
Levis just doesn't look "right." He's very Carson Wentz -ish. He'll make a hell of a throw one play and then a lame duck pick the next. His size and accuracy seem to be what's making him such a big prospect.
While you'll get no argument from me on whether Fields is done developing, there is precisely 1 GM in the entire league who would take Ridder over Fields commandeering their offense.
For the younger set, we have sent some of our best to Atlanta, starting with #60 as their first pick. Others include Alfred Jackson from Caldwell - great WR, class act, Earl's roommate; Shane Dronett from Bridge City, unfortunately gone too soon. Anyone remember any other Horns in Atlanta?
