Great news, indeed. Need Mitchell to follow suit and this team could be really solid next season.

BON article says Mitchell is leaning towards staying in the draft.

Yeah, he supposedly looked pretty good in the combine.

Was there ever any doubt about Hunter returning? I had no illusions that he was even a marginal take for the NBA - yet.

If scouts watched solely his Gonzaga game, he'd be a lottery pick. I think he just wanted honest evaluations of his body of work before returning.

Mitchell has always been seen as a one-and-done due to his freakish athleticism. Not because he was expected to play well in the NCAA, but because he's low-risk, high-reward for the G-League.

With NIL money, why not stay another year?

Now we're getting into something that Royal Ivey could explain better than me. There are a couple of benefits to being in the G-League... first and foremost it counts as a creditable Year of Service (YoS) under the collective agreement.

Plus, if he's good enough, he could get on a two-way deal and really rake it in.

I don't know if an accountant should be brought in with some sort of hype presentation about investing NIL money to serve the same purpose as getting YoS in the league, but it couldn't hurt.
