New 1300 Morning Show???

Just turned on 1300 this morning on the way in and my ears weren't bleeding from Bob Cole's painful drivel... Has there been a change in the am?

 

after what that station did, f**k'em they are still piece of crap.

 

sounds like it's a new show. bucky is still on with bob on the other channel. they need to end that

all austin sports radio is terrible these days

 

They are dead to me. But if they cleaned house, I might reconsider.

 

Sounds like they are still trying to polish a turd. It is the only station we can pick up in the shop which really sucks. Maybe they will read to us.

 

I noticed the same thing this morning. They didn't do a very good job of advertising this new show.

 

They moved the afternoon guys to the morning slot; Bucky still comes on from 10:00 'til 11:00 and A. J. is moving to the 4:00pm slot, after Craig.

I'm getting a headache...

 

Again, they are still on the air? I would not know other than listening to Fox Sports Radio at night. I even listen to the Steve Czaban show on XM so I don't have to hear even promos from the DEAD ZONE.

 

So Sports Buffet from 6am-10am, Bucky from 10-11am, Rome from 11am-2pm, Way solo (I liked him better with AJ) from 2-4pm, AJ solo from 4-7pm???

 

That's what I got out of it, though I didn't hear them say anything about Cedric Golden. Don't know if he is still going to come around in the afternoon, the morning or not at all.

 

Sports are back on in the morning on The Zone...........THANK GOD!!!!

I can say this also, The Sports Buffet with Ced, Rod, & AJ, should be pretty damn entertaining.

 

I really really like Craig Way _but_ I don't like him solo doing a show.

 

He will not be alone. Myself, De Hansen, and a new voice (Erik Johnson) will be in there with him.

 

why don't they have bucky on the morning show longer than just an hour?

 

He's still doing "Bucky & Bob" on 98.1 KVET-FM.

 

THANK GOD!!! Sports on my morning drive. My POS car radio wouldn't pick up anything up 1300 without major static - so I've been suffering through BBQ Bob Cole.

Hearing Madani and Brooks this morning talking SPORTS was music to my ears.

 

Part I heard was not very good. Nice to have sport on there though.

 

Question for those who may be close to this sort of business: Do these radio hosts make a decent salary? I know most of them have a few jobs, like Cedric Golden, and of course Craig Way, but do the guys whose sole job is a 2-4 hours radio show make enough to live off of? Or do they have other jobs on the side? Are guys like Ahmad Brooks and Babers trying to establish themselves as career radio personalities, or do they just enjoy it for a few hours a day?

 

Steve Czaban and Fox Sports Radio if you can go online or have Satellite Radio (which you should anyways) is a fantastic option.

 

Steve Czaban is great.............unless you actually want to hear about local sports.

National shows aren't going to talk alot about the Longhorns, Big 12, Cowboys, Texans.

No bitterness, the shows here in the morning just suck. I would rather get no local sports in that time slot than shoddy info. Sorry. Your gig is great, always is. They should move you to the morning and let you pick who you want to do it with you. That is something I would enjoy.

Will you and bucky expand past just 1 one hour on the morning AM sports? Or will he stay at the FM station most of the time? You guys have a good show, more of it would be nice, maybe 8-11 or 9-11?

 

Bevo Blvd............I don't know yet.

Bucky's one hour show from 10-11 will be staying that way.

 

Regardless of which other voices are on there, it's still "The Craig Way Show"

 

Who writes the damn updates? Is is the person who is reading them or someone else? I get a headache trying to decipher them sometimes when a certain person is doing them.
