Her story reminds us just how entertaining Alaska is. Why no follow up series to Northern Exposure?

Levi Johnson knocks up the governor’s daughter and five months later it gets him the best seats at the REPUBLICAN NATIONAL CONVENTION! Wow, the guys I went to high school with were born 30 years too early.

Palin has a smiling picture of herself with her hands on the horns of a freshly killed Caribou as part of her official biography with the State of Alaska. I’m betting she could pass a quiz on hunting safety, which beats the heck out of our incumbent VP.

She's the kind of gal you'd like to have a beer with. Like a female George W Bush.

I'm willing to bet that she knows the correct name of an American institution.

what a great gal; two years ago she was mayor of a town smaller than Luling and now she has a shot of trading opinions with Vladimir Putin. That will get them up our of their seats yelling USA USA USA

By God, I love this country.

Ten days ago she was governor of an ice shelf attached to a state bigger than Texas and now she can envision matching wits with Hezbollah and al Quaeda and the Iranians.

Go get 'em, pit bull Sarah!!! Bow wow bow wow.

    Executive Experience is overrated.

And if you are one to place high value on it, then none of the President and VP nominees should give you warm fuzzys.

Sorry for the error, she was mayor of a town the size of Luling six years ago and has more executive experience than Obama, Biden or McCain.

I was planning on not voting, given the paucity of decent candidates, but now I guess I will have to vote for her.

If the mayor of Luling had been in office for eight years, would that mean he/she is more qualified to be vice president?

I can think of only 2 reasons and they are both lactating. Come to think of it, forget those 2 reasons.

Palin has agreed to her first interview, a full 2 weeks after she was chosen as McCain's VP.

In a short 2 weeks she went from little-known governor of Alaska to almost ready to talk to Charlie Gibson, ABC's softball pitcher.

John must be so excited and proud. I wonder if Sarah is going to get a new lunchbox and Trapper Keeper for her first day as a Real National Politician.

If being an editor makes you ready to be president then I would like to be the first to fully throw my weight behind J Jonah Jameson in '12!!! Hearst could have been the greatest president ever!

And no, I don't think executive experience is necessarily a qualifier (although going back to FDR - the presidents whose resumes I can name off the top of my head - all except JFK had previously been a governor or VP first). I just think that saying Obama is qualified because of his editorial experience is stupid.
