I know this is tantamount to heresy, but I think Michigan has the best unis in all of football. Ours are definitely up there, though, and nobody sports a better helmet.
Top 5 College Uniforms, Texas Road Uni's when we pull our socks all the way up!!! I have heard that from fans all across the country.
+1 vote on removing TEXAS from the front. My wife thinks we should remove player's name from the back as well.
Just wish we'd make the material a bit less see-through so you can't tell a player's race just from the seat of the pants.
Sometimes the little longhorn on the side of the pants at the hip makes Steel Shank very angry and very dangerous.
I love both uniforms, and I love the stripes on the sleeves. They remind me of the white stripes on the football. I don't care one way or the other whether the unis say, "Texas" on the front. What matters more to me is how our guys play while wearing said uniforms. Hook the Tigers!
Kind of off-topic, but when exactly did this change? I went to UT in the mid 80's, and back then all sports (NFL, MLB, college football, NBA) used white unis at home (I remember hearing about the Cowboys' "dark jersey jinx"...). Don't really have a preference, but jsut interested as to when and why the change was made...
I really do like the cape thing. Old pictures of football players in the 50's and 60's had those jackets that looked like capes. We need to run on the field with a modified version of those, that would be freaking cool!!!!!
What's cool is the all whites and with the white shoes. Like last Sat. I don't care for the black shoe 1940s look. I wish it was an option that the home team could wear whatever uniform combo they wanted.
I ain't looked up the rules on uniforms lately, but it useta be that the homies picked their color and the visitors hadda wear somethin' contrasting so's the zebras didn't get any more cornfused than they already are. I like the idea of whites at home, like them Bayou Bengals. They get to wear the same outfits all year except for a coupla jerkoffs like Ole Miss that wear their whites at home so the Taggers gotta wear darks. Cowboys do the same thing, ain't it? An jerkoffs like the Gi'nts make 'em wear dark when they show up in Noo Yawk. Foo.
