Obama to call for NCAA Football playoff

I like bowls. I don't want a playoff. That is all.

 

Obama: "I think people should adopt stray pets."

Republicans: "WHAT A GODDAM MONSTER ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH! TELLING ME HOW TO LIVE MY LIFE!!!!!!!"

 

so he's telling me i'm not a serious college football fan if I disagree with him?

 

While I am not happy about the election results (and not discussing them here), I hope the Dems allow online gambling.

 

And now there are people arguing for government regulation of college football.

 

I don't think many people realize that a playoff would end up destroying much of waht you love about college football. The game is better without one.

This thread is a testament to how disgustingly partisan some people are.

 

Can we all agree that if Obama does install his version of the college football playoffs, then Hillary Clinton should be selected to manage the system?

 

Hell everyone with a lick of sense knows a playoff would be frigging massive and you could roll a lot of the bowls into the rotation. You would still see Notre Dame somewhere during the Holidays and the motor City Bowl and Shreveport Bowl woudl also keep tradtion.

But an 8 team playoff over 4 weeks would be awesome, 4 games week 1, 2 games week 2, then a week of rest and then the championship game. Eliminate all league championship games though...

 

I would love it.

My only argument against a playoff: If the quarters and semis of an 8 team playoff were hosted by the higher seeded team, it could mean in the future the dirt burglars would slither into our stadium. awful.
