Sounds like a future Cowboy the way things have been going at Valley Ranch. He's Jerry's kind of player.
He's been hurt for most of the year and has played thru pain, he wanted to know why on a crucial drive he wasn't in! He is a competive guy just like any other in the NFL, it was fourth quarter, they were down and it was the final drive. We all have dreamed about something like this and he is a great reciever he wanted to be apart of it I am sure.
There is a time and a place. Distracting your offensive coordinator while he is trying to make play calls during a potentially game winning drive, is neither the time or the place. That was as "me first" of an episode as I can ever recall. Frustration be damned.
Boldin stayed away from the media so that THIS would NOT become the story. He was upset, they had it out and they moved on. ESPN is just turning this into more than it should be. Boldin has stated that he was upset but he wants to win the Super Bowl and that is what the focus is on. I don't agree with what he did but he is NOT out throwing it to the media, they are pushing this.
Its one thing to get caught up in the heat of the moment in a competitive way (warner), but it is an entirely different thing to go on and on AFTER the game (boldin). And not just any game....one which got you to YOUR FIRST SUPER BOWL and the team's first as well. Give me a break, 'Q.
The issue is not what went on during the game, it's what occurred after it. If you are that bitter and self absorbed to where you completely ignore getting to the freaking Super Bowl in order to cope with your fragile ego then you have serious issues. I know people like this, they're never happy regardless of the situation, and generally you don't want them around in any productive capacity because you don't know whether they're with you or off in la-la land fixating over their stupid emotions.
No one is questioning his toughness. Irrelevant. This all began back in pre-season when Boldin tried to talk his way into a trade. He's been unhappy there and a disruptive force, that's no secret. As for Warner, was he yelling at the coordinator while said coordinator was trying to call plays during a game winning drive?
First, Boldin seemed out of line. Clearly. However, the Cardinals offensive coordinator is Todd Haley, formerly OC of the Dallas Cowboys under Bill Parcells. He is a massive douche in his own right. Now getting Terrell Owens to hate you and having screaming fits with him on the sideline is one thing. Generally that will just be chalked up to TO's usual BS. But Haley also fought with officials and even Parcells on the sidelines. In fact, you might remember one time when Parcells was discussing matters with an official and Haley just interjected himself shouting at the official in question. Parcells punched him on national TV and told him to STFU. Bill is a hothead, but he is not Woody Hayes. That screams to me that he had enough of Haley's crap. Now surprise, surprise. Boldin is in sideline shouting matches with Haley and Warner is in sideline shouting matches with Haley. All along Whisenhut (a bit of a hardass himself) seems more irritated with Haley than with the players. At point do enough of these incidents have to occur before we consider that maybe the problem is Haley anot the players?
