Doesnt take the detractors long to get it started. The only issue is at least you need to get it right.
It will get edited for history, just like the poor OJ juror who butchered reading the verdict. Anytime you hear a recording of that now, it's seamless.
There are really some petty haters around here. The Supreme Court idoit screwed up, probably intentionally because he is a Bush guy and didn't want to be there. Didn't detract from the event, though.
I don't think it was botched on purpose for one minute. I also found it to be extremely impressive that Obama obviously caught the mistake immediately at such an incredible moment in time for him personally....I would have been hysterically blind if I were in his shoes. Obama indeed rocks.
Obama did not vote for the asshat who administered the oath. I think he intentionally screwed it up as a payback. Roberts clearly rushed through the oath in a monotone and got the wording wrong. He didn't want to do it, and made that very apparent. But it doesn't matter, it was a great day, and a great speech afterwards.
MSNBC is reporting on the air that Obama retook the oath again today, just to be sure. Kind of like the runner touching the plate again after a close play at the plate. Link Now
Smart move to re-take the oath. You know there would be those people that would spend the next 4 years arguing (& suing) that Obama wasn't officially the President. Of course, it won't stop some people from arguing that by not saying the oath before noon yesterday, he's not the President.
Has the original poster figured out yet that it was Roberts that messed up and that Obama did his best to correct the situation? What an idiotic thread that is just completely wrong.
