I would have preferred seeing Leah get punted last night, especially after she quit on the Quick Fire and then whined the rest of the time. She's definitely the weakest left. That said, Jamie's fish/celery dish was apparently so bad that she got ousted. If, after last night, anyone still believes that Stefan isn't the man to beat, they are crazy. I guess it could turn out like last season when Richard was dominant and lost in the end, but Stefan is whipping ***.
"The awesome thing was the prize that Stefan got. He's going to get to follow Eric Ripert in three of his restaurants for three weeks" I would have taken that over winning the show.
Fabio is funny as hell. Really like him now and wish he would win. Leah = not good. Maybe it is just me, but I don't think she is the least bit attractive. I can't think of a really good looking chic ever being on this show, other than Casey. And Padma, of course.
Nah, there's been a couple of hotties other than Casey. Casey seems down to earth as well. Fabio is ok. I would love to see a Stefan vs Richard vs Hung battle.
They figured out a way to keep Stefan around after that dismal performance. I really thought for a minute he was out.
Stefan could have served a plate of **** and they wouldn't have axed him. He's clearly the best of the 4 remaining chefs. Hosea's hatred/jealously of Stefan is going to be his downfall.
Yeah, there was no way Stefan was gonna go with Leah still around. Carla has a shot to win this thing if things break her way. She's right up there with Fabio as the 2nd best chef. Didn't think that was possible after the way she started the season.

Damn, you ladies give up on this show? All the comments sounded like Stefan should leave, but we'll never know. As long as Hosea doesn't win, I'm good...
I am torn. On the one hand I really do not like hosea, and think he is a d-bag. On the other it might be worht it for him to win just to see Stefan's head explode, and it would explode. I think Carla takes this thing. She has really been knocking it out lately while Stefan is mailing it in.
I loved the twist of bringing Jeff back. It always sucked to see a very talented chef that had one hick up and that was shown the door, as opposed to someone like Leah who barely hangs on. I think Stefan is a little too cocky. Sad to see FAbio go, he didn't have a horrible day, you know. Carla has got momentum.
What did everyone think of the finale? I am kind of pissed that Josea won as he appeared to be the weakest competitor of the 3 over the whole course of the season. However he had the best performance in the finale and that is what they base the winner on. Crazy Carla blew it by not cooking her food. She seemed to have confidence issues all season and it came back to bite her in the finale. Stefan blew it by preparing a mediocre dessert course. That was surprising to me as desserts seemed to be a strength of his all season.
SPOILERS The show has been consistent from the first season -- the one that cooks the best at the last meal wins, regardless of the perforamnce leading to the finale. I was glad to see Stefan go down in flames. It wasn't just his dessert -- Colicchio didn't really care for one of his other courses either. FUnny thing was Fabio even said Josea's was better
I think the best chef has actually only won 2 out of 5 seasons. Season 1 - Harold was the best chef and won Season 2 - Ilan won, but he couldn't seem to cook anyhing besides Spanish cuisine, I thought Sam was the better chef Season 3 - Hung was the best chef and won Season 4 - I though Richard was the best and then he choked in the final, though Stefanie was also good Season 5 - Stefan was the best and I thought at least one or two others were also better than Josea Basically, it's a crap shoot when it gets down to the final 4.
Fell asleep last night during UT-Tech game.....can you blame me? Anyway, watched the repeat of the finale tonight. Stefan blew it. If he puts forth just a tad of creativity into his dessert, he wins. Hosea did not make a dessert, and according to the rules, did not need to. But let's face it, he cannot make dessert. He benefited from the un-orthodox requirement they had of only making a three-course dish for the finale. Carla, who was so strong the last few weeks, just lacked the backbone to tell Casey to shut the hell up and cook her own dishes. Overall, the judges blew this one. The look on Collichio's face is priceless when before the last commercial, Padma says she thinks they have a winner. He clearly did not agree with Hosea being named Top Chef.
I felt like Stefan was the strongest chef on the season, but he became more and more of an a-hole as the show went along. At first, I thought the other chefs' griping about him was jealousy (and alot of it probably was), but he really did seem to be an arrogant little SOB. Hosia was okay, but all his back-and-forth with Stefan turned me against him. I would have liked to have seen Carla or Fabio win. Carla just flat out blew it. That said, was it just me or did Gail's breasts grow a couple cup sizes since she was last on the show?
