Just saw the trailer, and that looks kinda terrible. Granted, I had the sound down as I prefer the Black Keys to CBS announcers, but it looks like more of the same foolishness from the DaVinci Code. I thought they might learn from those mistakes. I thought the book was entertaining with a completely ridiculous ending. Couldnt tell for sure, but looked like the pony tail was gone.
The book seemed like a interesting but vague idea that the author then tried to build a plot around. The movie probably won't win a oscar or anything, but should be a fast paced adventure type move. I hope, for the sake of humanity, they don't make a movie out of "Digital FOrtress"
Good for them for making so money on what many considered a mediocre movie. I was bored and disappointed with it after enjoying the entertainment value of the book and liking many of the actors going into it. I'm a Hanks fan going back to Bosom Buddies, and would just like to see him do a film I have interest in seeing. That trailer diminished my interest in the movie as it seems like it could be easily be titled Too Fast, Too DaVincious. That's all
Digital Fortress was a good read, Deception Point was amazing. I think Deception Point would make a really good Hollywood transition.
