In what kind of F'd up reality do you replace a head coach that's been to two state finals and won one of them, with a quasi-assistant coach?

    East-Dillon looks like a dump.

Yeah. What exactly happened? I was in Atlanta Friday night and the first half of the show was interupted by coverage of multiple tornados in the area. I got in at the part in which the school board was meeting and coach came in. What exactly transpired that got the head coach fired?

I think they exaggerate a little on that show. But there has been many a good coach ran off in Texas by overbearing parents. Very recently and in more than 1 town.

Landry is gonna be the star next year - everyone else had graduated unless Sarazen somehow find another year of eligibility to take care of mom

I guess I see the Dillon/East Dillon rivalry as supposed to parallel the Midland/Odessa rivalry. Any takers?

I remember the coach going to Smash's house and all the black kids crawling all over him. Probably East Dillon's new team.

Finally, maybe one of the ex-players such as Street or Riggins will help coach the team.

    Overall, love this show.

If this is really like Small Town, Texas, Lyla and Tyra will drop out of Vandy and Texas after a semester (maybe two) and will thereafter enroll in Dillon Community College.

What position does Landry play anyway? At one point I thought he was a linebacker, but then again, he only had one highlight-- and it was on special teams-- when he caused a fumble on a kickoff return.

he (Landry) went in one game as a Tight end, he caused that fumble after Saracen was picked off by a DB or something.

I thought Landry was a senior

Landry is a junior - it has been confirmed by the guy who makes FNL

Also no college talk about where he was going the whole time with Tyra

    Knoxville:
    Synopsis --
He got fired because Pappa McCoy was mad at Coach Taylor over the CPS issue and pulling JD at halftime of the game. McCoy had control of the boosters and the board because he had provided a "truckload of money" to the school. McCoy specifically told Coach Taylor he could stay if he promised to play JD every play of every game. Coach told him no, so McCoy used his influence to get him fired.
Q: where was Buddy during all of this?????

I think Coach's Wife will stay at DIllon -- that will create some story lines.
I figured Buddy was out of the power loop -- what I found it odd was that they didn't have any scenes with him discussing the issue with Coach at all.

That means Buddy will go to East Dillon as well

That's probably why they had the montage with Buddy and Coach yucking it up on the golf course, to show the friendship and loyalty. Buddy will go with Coach to East Dillon.

Buddy is my favorite. He's not some glossed up Hollywood TV dad. Even the "regular joe" TV dads are made out of plastic.

Buddy is a real meat eating, football crazy, soccer hating, weak willed (wife cheater), daughter protecting, child adopting Texan. He's a flawed husband, loyal friend, loving father...he's a regular dude. I'd a have a beer and shoot a round with him.

Lance (landry), Buddy and the Riggins and Tyra's family all are embarassing to watch but I can't take my eye's off the TV when they are on the show.

There are people just like them in real life

I never watched Homefront, but I fell in love with him in Early Edition. The cat drew me in; Kyle Chandler kept me watching.

There are three men I'd leave my husband for: Larry Bird, Jerry Don Gleaton, and Kyle Chandler.
