Monterey / Pebble Beach

For my 40th birthday my wife has surprised me with a weekend (and round of golf) at Pebble Beach. Anybody been? What are the can't miss bars and restaurants? Any tips?

Use search for Carmel, CA and a 1 year time frame as there was a thread on this last summer.

 

You will love it.

As for golf, get a caddie. I struggled with pulling the right club. The caddie helped me a bunch.

Go to Mission Ranch and have drinks and dinner on the back patio.

Hire a caddie, walk the course, play spanish bay too if you can.

If you are into wine you can visit the Bernardus winery in Carmel. They have a nice tasting room, and some great wines (some years). Their chardonnays and marinus are pretty solid virtually every year.
