Keyes lifts one over the left-centerfield wall for a two-run homer. Texas pulls to within 7-6. KEVIN, YOU MAGNIFICENT BASTARD!!!! Bases empty, no outs, Rupp up. Cameron takes strike one, then bounces a 1-1 pitch that Moore knocks down but can't keep from going for an infield single. One on, no outs, Maitland up. Maitland shows bunt on the first pitch but fouls it off. He and Anderegg collide, exchange words. Maitland drops another bunt but ump rules it hit him in the box for a foul and strike two. Maitland should be swinging away now. Down 0-2 in the count, Tim shows bunt but takes a ball outside. Sheeesh. He squares again and drops one down but it's called foul and he's out. ******* STUPID to bunt there with two strikes. STUPID. Hernandez up, Rupp on first, one out. Hernandez falls behind but manages to work the count full. Hernandez draws a walk to put runners on first and second with one out. Great at-bat for David there. Rupp is forced out at third and, once again, Texas swallows its own tongue with RISP. Keep in mind that Clark was on first when Kevin went yard. This team is having a pathetic weekend at the plate with RISP. Shameful. To the 8th with Army up, 7-6 ...

i am envious of all the other bracket leaders scoring at will on decent or better competition. also looks like the big 12 will be laying a big fat egg by the end of the night if we don't do anything about it. about time!!
