    my divorce is final today.

I'm celebrating with a nice cold bud light (or two or three) while watching "King of the Hill".

It feels good, it really does. A couple of years ago I was hanging on by a thread, and had actually considered offing myself. Now, I look back at those days and laugh.

Thanks to everyone (including this board) that helped get me through that horrible period. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

However, I still believe that my "wife is missing" post may be the best one of that type ever to hit the interwebs.

You want to have a really good time? If you golf, head down to San Clemente on a Friday around 2 pm and play the Men's scramble at Shoecliffs for $30. The course is pretty much a goat ranch, but it has ocean views and if you make it back to the clubhouse sober, I'll eat my hat. It's a freaking blast. I'll be out there next week to play. Thanks for all your San Diego advise in the past, BTW. It helped more than you know. San Clemente is heaven on Earth to me. Too bad I had to move back to Houston for now.

You should celebrate by finding some drunken homeless person and cutting his package clean off, Big Will.

don't believe that it's still around.

Basically the wife disappeared, shortly after returning home from a stay in the psych ward.

turns out that she fell in "love" with another nutjob in there, and they ran off together...to tijuana.

The kicker...he's handicapped and lives on SSI

thanks. I've found a great lady. We live together.

Shortly after crazy wifey left I took a look at myself. in my early 40's...I decided that I didn't want any more kids. So, I went and got snipped. Intentionally did it when I had nobody else in my life to "help" with the decision. My decision, and mine only. I've never regretted it.

Don't know if you have kids. I got the bid D 13 years ago. Never had one second of regret. X was a nightmare. Unfortuantley I have had to see my X regularly for 13 years because we had a child together. My child, on teh other hand, is one of the greatest blessings in my life. Greatest blessing and worst nightmare all inextricable intertwined. Go figure. Good luck my friend. Life is too short to be miserable. Bless the world with your new found happiness. This planet needs more smiles.

I don't even know you and I'm happy for you. Kind of like when one inmate makes it over the fence every other prisoner cheers. Every man that is single and in love should be forced to read this thread before he proposes.

Congrats Will! This has been a long time coming, and I'm happy you are in a better place now. Drink a beer for me!

As a side note, you need to drop that crap *** Bud Light and go with a beer that any beer snob would be proud of.

As a divorce lawyer, I can honestly say that people feel both sad, happy, and confused all at the same time. Most are happy (especially with a good settlement).

Divorces can be blessings, and curses. If you have communication problems with your ex-wife and you hav ekids, try using myfamilywizard online.
