Sarah Palin is Tammy Faye Bakker without the brains. She really is an embarrassment to most mainstream GOPers.

The "rationing" argument completely baffles me. Health care in this country is already "rationed" in exactly the manner described by the opponents of the proposed plan. If you are currently insured, then whether or not your procedure will be covered is subject to the approval of a faceless bureaucrat who's advanced degree (if they have one) is more likely in business than any health related science. That the bureaucrat would be employed by the government at least means that the arbitrary method by which he approves your care will be public rather than a protected trade secret.

In any event the worst case scenario puts the exact impediment to health care we have now. There are plenty of reasons to not like the offered plan, but the Fox News talking points that are getting thrown around are simply idiotic.

Decide for yourself, like everything else in this "plan", it is murky at best.

Late term abortion, partial birth abortion, is gruesome and as close to baby killing as you can get.

I don't really know that there backing Palin as much as they're staying true to the republican battle. This could certainly get worse for the party if they continue to play the game of "She's all we have. Gotta back her no matter how crazy she sounds."

Palin in her farewell speech: "So, how 'bout in honor of the American soldier, ya quit makin' things up."

Timothy Egan: As for Palin, she should follow her own advice to the media of a few weeks ago — lay off the kids and “quit makin’ things up.”

That quote says all you need to know about Palin. Not afraid to incoherently tie her own political intersests to "the troops", "the flag", or anything patriotic -- and not afraid to act as viciously as the next politician despite her earlier pleas for decency.

    I LOVE SARAH PALIN!!!!

Never has a person so stupid been elevated to a level so quickly as Palin has. Those who love Palin are among the factually least informed in our nation. They will swallow most any ********, and Palin knows her audience and she intends to stand upon the human tower of ignorance to personally profit as best as she can.

On the other hand it's scary that we have so many poor souls that actually honestly believe that Palin would be a good person to lead our country, or that her musings are worthy of honest intellectual review.

A stupid person to lead stupid people... that's Palin in a nutshell.

    Summer,

Insulting the people that support or like her is not all that constructive and effectively clamps any opportunity for civil discourse on the subject.

I side with your views on most topics, but sadly, your posting style lately is more than often to mock those who do not share your view instead of addressing the subject head on.

YLD- I think Palin is probably the most dangerous thing politically to come around in a very, very long time.

I think that they people who believe she would make a good President or Vice President are as a rule uninformed folks, and thus "stupid" in my book. I don't know of any way to beat around the bush on this one.

I will say that the same folks that don't think that Obama is an American are probably firmly in the group that believes that Palin would be a great leader.... so.. I guess it's sort of a circular argument.

If you are factually uninformed on an issue like Obama's birth certificate you probably like Palin, if you like Palin you are much more likely to be factually uninformed.
