I'm usually one to call out ad hominem attacks on this board but something ain't right with the "general". I have a lady in a secure unit in the nursing home who used to be an accomplished college student and a great pianist. She now calls herself "Dr. Penicillin" and screams and sings half the day. Just saying it happens. If the major general would have done due diligence then he would have waited for better access to better evidence. Kind of like WMD and the Iraq war. If you come to the wrong conclusion with limited or faulty evidence then you are going to screw something up. His views also ignore all external evidence supporting the external attack.
So he thinks the Pentagon wasn't hit with an airplane? And he thinks the the Twin Towers fell straight down which they shouldn't have and that the metal sholdn't have melted under those temperatures? Man these guys are crazy. Sorry.
A'sD, Hpslugga believes that our country was founded by the capitalist elite in order to maintain the power of the capitalist elite. He believes that the founders worked to disempower the common masses, and that the Constitution was created with that end in mind. He believes America has never been a truly democratic country, and that true democracy will look something more like the anarchist revolution in Catalonia in 1936. I disagree with him, but this is what he believes. I also disagree with you about the 911 conspiracy. I think it's the right's version of climate change paranoia: equally absurd though probably slightly less harmful to our republic since it's a less respectable absurdity. Where did those passengers go? Well, of course they were liquidated to preserve the illusion. That's the only logical answer. If you're willing to believe the first absurdity, then the second is a piece of cake.
This isn't the country you grew up with? If you're in your late 50's, then you grew up with McCarthyism, segregation, the Vietnam War, race riots, Watergate, and so on. Maybe it's better that this isn't the country you grew up with.
