So some of you are worried that an Arky victory "might" help them recruit DFW but overlook the fact that an aggy victory might help them? WTF?

The only way Arkansas would ever regain a foothold in Texas recruiting is to join the Big 12. Otherwise the impact will be small.

I think I actually hate Trailer Park Tech more than Aggie. Aggie are just a bunch of dumb rednecks. Tech are a bunch of trailer park trash a**holes.

Anyone who would root for aggy in anything is someone who was definitely not at the 86 game in Austin. I have no love for the pigs to be sure, but they were playing aggy.

I have a family member (well educated and generally very well mannered) whom I never called to rub salt in wounds after our victories. When they broke their drought against us a few years ago, he made sure to call to be an ***. He (humorously) accuses me of being a bandwagon fan because I did not cheer UT until my actual first year there. I have a colleague who is above reproach whether aggy wins or loses, but he is the rare exception. I can respect my colleague and treat him well without making the mistake of thinking aggy is acceptable as an institution.

Interesting banter.... I have a huge group of Aggie friends and back in the "Dark Days" When Texas lost more than they won to A&M, being around them during the footballs season was almost unbearable. They were on top of the SWC and were not afraid to "Yell" It. During my last few years of College at Texas, things were beginning to change changed and Texas beat the Aggies at Kyle Field to go to the Sugar bowl. That was awesome, and A&M started falling from grace. Now that over decade has gone by and the A&M program is just about at the bottom of the Big 12 south, things are different. Those same friends no longer really stand by their big egos and no longer put up the big fight but the fire still burns in them and believe me, I got more than my ear full when they beat us 2 years in a row. They are but a volcano waiting for their 1 moment to release the smack.

If OU is on top and playing A&M its simple. My philosophy is that it doesn't matter who OU plays so long as they lose. If A&M is not playing us, I take a bit of happiness in their losses more so than their victories. Perhaps I am the *** who doesn't support other teams other than my own unless that team can knock of an opponent that is in Texas path to rankings or possible BCS births.

I am only true to one team ant that is TEXAS!!!!!!!

I had aggy for a neighbor some years ago...not (apparently) of the red *** variety. Quite by accident, the grandson came up behind him once and put a burnt orange cap on him. This allegedly "good" ag took the cap off, and threw it, hard, at the grandson. (Who wasn't even three at the time.) I don't usually paint a whole group with a broad brush, so-to-speak...but I'll make an exception with agricultural and their fans. If I ever found myself pulling for them in anything, I'd need to take a hot, long bath...and use lye soap. Everytime I'm around ANY aggy, I'm reminded that their school put the cult in agri-cult-ure.

They are all farmers. Farmers talk of nothing but fertilizer and women. I've never shared their enthusiasm for fertilizer. As for women, I became indifferent when I was eighty-three

Arkansas fans are worse than Aggie fans. I know that fire has died down since we don't play them every year now, but I hate Arkansas with a passion.

In other words - when they were cheating.

I can't believe there were UT fans that actually thought A&M would beat Arkansas on a neutral field.

    WorsterMan SEC here we come!!

I did not pull for either arky or aggy - I hate 'em both. I predicted last week that arky would win that game by 7-10 points... I was obviously low and giving aggy far too much credit for having a decent team. The Horns are going to crush aggy.

I can't believe that their are Longhorn fans who actually want our SOS lower. Wow. Did you guys fall asleep all of last season? HELLO.

The only thing that's going to hurt us at the end of the year is if we lose, not if our opponents are losing. Anyone whining about SOS or Auburn 2004 is getting themselves worked up about something that is nearly mathematically impossible to foretell.

Well, I think the people who are worried about our SOS are assuming we drop a game. And if we do, they are right, we'll be done as far as MNC hopes are concerned.

As long as we keep winning, SOS isn't going to matter. An undefeated Texas will make it into the BCS title game.
