It's been a busy week and I haven't kept up with the news. I attended the game today and just arrived home. Did Dan Buckner play? I don't recall him playing. Did OU shut him down? Was he injured? Where was Buckner today?

Saw him on the field on TV a few times.

He played. I think he had 1 pass throw in his direction. Don't know why. [IMG]

Thanks for the info. Wow, he was really quiet today. I don't know about everybody else, but I would say before today that Buckner was the most important receiver on the team after Shipley. Strange.

ou did a great job of taking Ship and Buckner out of the game. They weren't going to get burned by the middle of the field or Ship today and they didn't.

Buckner drew the big pass interference penalty on 3rd and 10 on the touchdown drive in the 2nd half.

I believe Dan was the intended receiver on one of OU's dropped pic six plays.

They kept Greg Smith in the game to help with pass protection. OU brought at least 6 on almost every play.

I said this in another thread, but you could ask the same question for almost every offensive player except fozzy. Where was Childs/Chiles, where was Shipley, where was Monroe? Hell, where was Colt? I'll give some props to Goodwin, he made a circus catch and scored.

You could just boil it down and say where was the offense as a group

I don't think it's wrong to say they outplayed or outcoached us. Our defense made plays in the second half to get the ball back, theirs didn't. They shut down our offense all day and had a great gameplan. I was impressed with what OU did in that game.
