I typically go for Baylor when they aren't playing the Horns, but I really hope we hang 70 on them since Briles was not that impressed with us last year. I wonder if anyone will remind Mack about that this week. But I have to think that even if they do, it won't make a difference in how he coaches on Saturday. If it were me though, I don't think I could forget about the vote. It would probably take 70 pts before I pulled back on the throttle... assuming we can play with enough intensity against Baylor to actually score 70.
Briles and the AntiCoach both put us at #5, as I recall. That's one reason it didn't break my heart to see Jevan and Ole Miss run his *** right outa the Cotton Boll, much as I hate to see the XII lose to anyone and especially ESECPN. And I was sure as hell looking for a serious butt-whipping this year... Sergio provided as much as there was, which wasn't bad, but... I'm with you - let's hang 70 on the Bares if we can - shelve the 2-yard dink'n'dunk passes, go long, and let Colt throw 7 or 8 TD's.
I had forgotten that, too - his and the pirate's votes could have made the difference between us and OU being in the CCG. If Mack doesn't remember or bring this up, I hope the players will remember. Every one of them. Every play.
As much as I would love to see retribution issued for this slight, we all know Mack will never do this. It's not in his character. We'll probably get up by the usual 42-7 or so, and Mack will run out the clock.
I would really love to see a shutout, especially at the end of the first half, something conservative, maybe like 28-0, 4 TD passes by Colt, 300 passing yards, just fire at them every play. Then play Gilbert all second half, and add two more TDs in the 3rd quarter with the #1 O, and then one more TD in the final quarter with the 2nd team. 49-0. I think that's a reasonable score if we come out fired up from the start.

It's like your little sister kicking you in the nuts just because she can right after your smokin hot girlfriend drops you. You wanna give her a knuckle sandwich, but mom won't let you. There must be justice! My suggestion... 42-0 after three quarters. Then air the ball out in the fourth, instructing all the receivers to run out of bounds or fall down at the one yard line. Line up, but don't kneel it, that wastes too much time. Throw it out of the back of the endzone four times. Follow this by a Baylor three and out or safety, then repeat until time runs out.

Another angle to consider, didn't Mack sign his son Kendal Briles as a Longhorn (QB), before Kendal chose to transfer to be with his dad in Houston? I agree with those who say Mack is too classy to "avenge" slights such as this, which is probably a good thing.
We should keep scoring in every way possible to the last second. When Mack greets Briles after the game and says "good game, coach" Briles will understand that to mean "who's number one now, ************?"

It seems that Briles and Leach might be feeling the effects of a little football karma in '09 for angering the football gods with their pettiness in '08. There's nothing that we can do on Saturday to avenge their slights that Griffin's knee injury and an ***-whipping by the Aggies in Lubbock haven't already done to humble Mssrs. Briles and Leach, respectively.

Thank you for this reminder. Briles was running out some sort of a pissy agenda against Mack last year. This year briles needs to pay dearly for that. Hang no less than 50 on that MF'r.
We should also remember the leg whip, blantant disregard of Shipley'd call for fair catch, and obligatory roughing the QB in the baylor game. But sadly we don't, as evidenced on this thread.
