I spotted him in the stands on the BU home side, first while being escorted by a young woman in Baylor garb, then later walking thru the stands with other recruits: all were wearing lanyards with official-looking Baylor issue ID cards. I don't know if that constitutes an official visit or not. As expected, he's not a big guy. Actually skinnier than I suspected.
It seems he has a few official visits that he can still take, so perhaps he was taking a flyer (and a free trip/visit) for the Horns-Bears game. I gather from some of the posts here that he isn't really a target (for Texas) anymore, but wonder how long he stayed at the game?
i'd don't think we've heard the last of seastrunk in the recruiting game... though i don't think we get him.
I thought it was more like we don't care at this point, and he is probably not the second coming of Earl Campbell either, not to mention that we don't lose sleep over guys whom we have told about our program well enough and long enough but who still are confused in their minds about coming to the best program in the country. R.J.
Updating Seastrunk is of much interest to a Horn board as updating us on Seantrel Henderson. Not that it's not of interest, it's just not relevant.
He has been to a few (maybe even most) Baylor games this year. None have been official, they just give him tickets.
You people have beaten this into the ground. This young man has given you zero reason to do so. He comes here or he doesn't. It's his decision. Personally, I hope he does, but if he doesn't we are going to win whatever!
With all of the talk of Willie Lyles, his chief schools of interest, and some of his comments...it's easy to get to the (perhaps erroneous) conclusion that the kid has a case of "imagetmine-itis" It's contagious. I think we've quarantined him from our recruiting pursuits as a prophylactic measure. Seriously, I have felt from the get-go that Seastrunk simply isn't interested in Texas, and never really has been, for whatever reason. That doesn't mean he's a bad kid...but he's a kid that won't be wearing burnt orange.
Who Knows what this kid decides. We have a stable of backs that have not really produced. I don't know who is to blame.. the O-line coach or Applewhite. Talent is talent but production speaks volumes. Hey if he can help get wins.. I will gladly accept him into the program. If not.. good luck to you.
its not the OL coach. he didn't pick the scheme. he is also dealing with the least talented group (as a whole) we've had in 20 years...not a knock on our dudes. we've just been a lot better.
Agreed that it's tough to coach an O-Line when you completely disagree with the scheme, but after 4-5 years a good coach adjusts and Macwhorter simply has not done that. Not putting all the blame on him, obviously, but we are inexplicably regressing over time instead of at least improving technique-wise. Most of the time we look absolutely lost...
