2005 Lead-up - 2009 Lead-up

It is getting similarly ironic between greatest team ever (2005 USC) to greatest player ever (2009 Tebow). I'm sure if it does end up a Texas-Florida matchup there will be more similarities as we get closer.

 

We were #2 in basketball at this time in 2005.

In 05, we only had to play the best college team of all time, as proclaimed by eSpin. This time around, if we make it to Pasadena, we could be playing Touchdown Jeebus himself. We might be smited down if we sack him.

 

The ESPN love-fest video montage to the greatest quarterback/college football player/humanitarian of all time has anointed Tim as the leader of the GREATEST TEAM (of any sport) IN ENTIRE UNIVERSE. How will the defense even compete if they must avert their gaze from THE GREATEST ONE.

 

What about giving Urban Meyer a full month to scheme against our defense?

 

I just saw a sappy Tebow slobfest on ESPN...where they asked a panel "Would a 3time national champion, Heisman award winning Tebow be considered the Greatest College football player of all time?". Hmmmm, still haven't won the conference title vs. Bama, nor the National title, and we are already begging this question?

 

I swear during CFB Live today there was a segment where the topic on the bottom of the screen was "Is Tebow the best ever?"
