First, the basketball team proved they are for real with a 13-point win over North Carolina, which is no slouch.

Then my high school -- Euless Trinity -- wins its third state title of the decade in an overtime thriller over Westlake.

Then the Cowboys knocked the Saints out of perfection.

The day would have been perfect if the volleyball team had been able to capitalize on its huge lead.

Oh, well, I batted .750 today. Not too shabby ...

Dick Vitale's man-love for the UT basketball team stopped just short of fawning.

I can't really disagree with him, however, since Dex and Damion were dominating a good NC team. They had a 17 rebound advantage over NC's team. We had 4 players over 20 points - including two freshmen.

This is the best UT basketball team I have ever seen.

I'm not a big volleyball fan, but I still had to change the channel when the ESPN highlights of the match came on. Painful. [IMG]

Unfortunately the one blemish on our perfect day was the near miss of a national championship. That ones going to sting for a while.

I feel like Aggy did after they loss to us, I mean, when Nebraska loss to us in the Big 12 Championship game - devastated.

    That volleyball defeat was tough.

Real proud of our volleyball team, we lost by only a couple of points. Looks like we are becoming a powerhouse, which is nice.

    Ctexan...We are a volleyball powerhouse!

Coach Elliot is bringing in an unbelievable recruiting class next year and it looks like there are going to be many more final four appearances in the coming years.

Still, the loss yesterday was devastating. I feel the same way I did about Cat...Hooker deserved that championship!!! Dangit!!!!!!

With all due respect to Penn State's four time All-American, there was no doubt that Destinee was the best player on the court.

That girl can SKY, and bring the HAMMER DOWN!

It's like a tomahawk jam every time the ball gets in her wheelhouse.

I'm going to miss her next year.
