Wow! Just Wow!!! Merry Christmas to G Gilbert & G Davis. This looks to be the best WR class since........ HOOK 'EM, Texdoc
Wow! With Davis and White, along with the returning receiving corps it's going to be a fun year! Gilbert is going to have a field day!!!
Uninformed, I was thinking more like ... EVER. Chris Jones is a top 100 National guy & a top 10 WR. If Cobbs stays at WR.... Either Cobbs or Jones would be the feature WR in almost any other class. This group is going to be bad ***!!! HOOK 'EM, Texdoc
I honestly think these guys will be more productive than Roy/Sloan/BJ. I really like it because we could easily see all 3 on the field at the same time - each has a slightly different skill set. If we can get our OL set and a legit running threat going, these guys could do some serious damage. Mix in a typical Muschamp D and it looks like we're going to be loaded until well into the 2010s at a minimum.
You know it's going well when we sign one of the hat picking guys at the all-star game. Great player headed to Texas, with two or even three more possible. What a class!
On that pic in the OP it says Texas has the 2nd ranked recruiting class.....On what ranking system? I know Rivals has had Texas #1 the entire year. And then we picked up Cobbs and now White to solidify that. Also have to consider that Rivals is only giving the state of Texas 2 five star recruits. Texas meanwhile has picked up the #3, #4, #5, #6, #8, #9 players within the state on Rivals list. Wilson and White should be 5 star recruits. Texas has 7 players in the Rivals top 100. #24, #26, #34, #62, #71, #85, #97. Which class would top Texas? Alabama?....1/3 of their class is 3 star.
ESPN will always have Florida or USC ahead of Texas no matter what. Anyway it is future productivity that counts. I wouldn't trade our class this year for anyone else's.
So even after we get White, ESPN still has us as the #2?!? WTF? Rivals had us at #1 BEFORE getting Darius, ESPN refuses to move us up? What if we Hicks and Jeffcoat? Is it just some new that an SEC program must be #1?
It's pretty simple, really. ESPN = SEC Football contract! They have, without a doubt, the most slanted talking-head-commentators too.
