You have given so much to Texas over the last four years and worked harder than we will ever know to get the opportunity to play in this game tonight. I cannot begin to fathom how devastating it must have been to realize that it was over before it ever really began. The leadership you showed during the game and class you showed after it is something that anyone, Longhorn fan or not, should be impressed with. For what it's worth, I certainly am. Your body of work speaks for itself. Your legacy will felt throughout the Longhorn program for years to come. This team that I love so much is much better off for having had you as a member, and I can't begin to thank you enough for that. I would have loved to see you get your chance tonight, but I am so happy that I've had the opportunity to watch you lead this team the last four years. I'm so proud that you are a part of the Longhorn tradition. It is richer for having you.
He will be missed. Best of luck in the pro's I will be a fan of whtever team he goes to while he is wearing their uniform.
At one point the cameras showed Colt and Vince together on the sidelines, and how could one not think that those were the two best quarterbacks any team could have been blessed to have back to back. And now we are blessed to have a young man thrust into the hardest spot possible for a Qb, and he performed admirably. With the stellar play of the defense, this team almost brought Texas into the realm of legend. Sounds hokey, but it's true. Alabama's the champion, and we don't need moral victories. But damn Texas sure has character overflowing. Thanks Colt for the character you have shown to us, and the victories that have accompanied it.
Colt is my all time favorite Texas QB! I know Vince got the crystal, but Colt has the charisma and heart of a champion.
One of the greatest players ever. I truly believe we would've beaten Bama with a healthy Colt tonight.
A truly great Longhorn. I too believe we would have won if Colt played the entire game, but everything happens for a reason. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Actually I think that sometimes even what kills you can make you stronger. Now, college football is over and it's time for me to focus on the Cowboys and Texas basketball. Onward thru the fog!
