The Horns are 2-0 when I'm the Rose Bowl (stadium). They are 0-1 when I'm not. I will going next time. Please forgive me.
I jinxed the team with some Texas socks my mom gave me for Christmas. I wore them the day of and during the game...have never worn them before. They have since been thrown in the trash.
You guys are off the hook. Not only did I not make it out there for the game, my Longhorn flag fell apart during one of those windy days a few weeks ago, the one I fly off the porch on game days. I meant to replace it with a new one, but forgot all about it. I went to search for the flag when preparing to watch the big game, and finally remember its unfortunate demise. It's all my fault. I'm so ashamed.
I was going to post this very subject. I think it was my fault that we lost as I didn't follow my usual pregame rituals. I also did things that I knew where bad luck but, selfishly, I did them anyway. Put it all on my shoulders. I won't let the team down again.
I wore a T-shirt that up until Jan. 7 was undefeated. But I wore it with Levis, not the khaki shorts I usually pair it with. So, do I retire that shirt or try it again with the shorts?
I wore a gray "National Championship Game" shirt with both Texas AND Alabama helmets on it instead of just a burnt orange Texas t-shirt T-shirt retired....
We are rookies compared to most of you but since our oldest daughter started at UT three years ago I have never seen a Longhorn team lose in person. Went to two football games in '07 all home football games in '08 and '09, Holiday Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, numerous men's and women's basketball games, basebal games last year, volleyball games both years and never a loss. Not sure what I did wrong this time...was wearing my lucky shirt (since retired) and everything.
I'm 1-0 in the stadium, 1-1 at home......oh well, nothing to see here....move along to the next poster.
