I like how they practically threw their recorders at him at the end. I'm sure they wished they could nail him with 'em.

Why does he keep drumming that envelope on the table? Is he doing that to the rhythm of his speaking?

I thought it was funny that the one guy kept demanding he was a public employee. When he wasn't an employee of any kind there anymore.

It's also funny how those dipshits turn on the only reporter insisting that the coach (a former public employee) speak on camera. The press these days is worse than pathetic.

Back in my sportswriting days, we would have agreed to his terms, listened to his statement, then wrote columns calling him a great big momma's boy and posting his headshot as a dart board all over the news room.

The TV guy's problem seemed to be that he thought the other media outlets would have some sort of competitive advantage over him if he couldn't turn his camera on.

It had nothing to do with the story, nothing to do with Kiffin, and nothing to do with getting his viewers what he thought would be the best and most honest answers. It had everything to do with trying to make himself and his station look better than his competitors in spite of the story as he would be able to have video of Kiffin's initial statements and the others wouldn't.

The media and the press could care less about journalism anymore. It's all about their face time and appearance so they can make better promos which they hope will lead to more viewers and thus make more money. Stories aren't covered to inform the public anymore, they're covered so a station can say how much better they did at covering it than the other guy and therefore they can make commercials about how great they are and sell more advertising.
