I'm not sure if we just don't take them seriously, but its getting real old losing to them. Seems like I'm the only person I know that has relatives that went to wheat aggy and they are beginning to wear on me. Please stop losing to them. rant over carry on
Wheat Aggy = Delusional Aggy. We need to understand that we are their Super Bowl. These two are gonna bring it everytime Texas is in the house. Players and coaches both need to realize this.
Wheat aggie seems to be Texas' kryptonite and we have to play them in Manhattan on November 6 (football). I'll keep that game circled as a potential land mine.
We didn't lose to KSU last night because it was their Super Bowl. We lost because we repeatedly missed layups and didn't play a very good game. We just didn't look like a #1 team, and they did look like a top 10 team.
I hope the coaches in all sports taped the "We Own Texas" chant to play to their teams before match ups with KSU. The sad and annoyiing fact is that it's true, but it can be undone. Last night the basketball team added "inability to make layups" to their inability to make free throws. At the end of the game, we working pretty hard to add "inability to keep passes in bounds." It was a horrible effort by the Longhorns. I think Barnes will fix it.
They've looked tired the last two games. Maybe Barnes is working them too hard and they've lost their legs
I did not see the game but saw a replay of the post game conversation between Musberger and Bobby Knight. Bobby Knight, yes the chair throwing, fit throwing, etc Bobby Knight called out the KState fans for their behavior. If THAT guy says your fans suck, then they must have been pretty bad.
Bobby Knight wasn't pointing out any behavior there that doesn't happen anywhere else. Like Mussberger said, the "overrated" chant happens every time in a game like this - and it's stupid every time. You just beat the No. 1 team in the country, and it's more important for you to taunt the other team and downplay them than it is to pump your own team up - I mean if you beat an overrated team, doesn't that sort of downplay your own accomplishment? Bobby's point was applicable to every fan base in America, he wasn't singling out K State. And yes, they do own us. Why I have no idea, but that needs to change.
A tough road game -- and every road game in the Big12 is tough -- two days after an emotional OT game against a traditional rival. I knew this was going to be a loss before we even got off the plane in Manhattan. Hopefully the five days between last night's debacle and the roadie at UConn will allow the team to get refreshed and refocused. I don't think any of us truly expected to get through the season unscathed, but I do with it didn't have to come at the hands of our purple-wearing nemesis. It's like they've got some sort of mystical hold over us.
we can call it the Dodds curse, and it will end when DeLoss retires. That's my prediction. Sure, we'll win occasionally, but the until the KSU track man retires, they will win more than half.
at least we lost to them and not to real Aggy. Im not that upset over a regular season hard fought loss to a legitimate top 10 team on the road.
I'd agree with HNK that Tech fans are worse than OU fans. Neither group, however, belongs in the list with Colorado, Arkansas, Ohio State, and the Philadelphia Eagles.
I am agreement with Husker. Simply LOUSY fans. Overrated???????!!!!! What? Then the crack "owned" and I went ballistic. UT could buy that wheat school out with their pocket change. They had to holler out to the fans to keep them from storming the court. KSU mildcats----not impressed at all. Hope we beat them by 25+ when we get to the tourney.
