My friend and I recently conducted a fantasy draft for UT players under the Rick Barnes era. For purposes of this draft, the players were gauged solely on their time with the Longhorns; thus, NBA careers do not count. Please reply by writing which team you think is better. Team A PG Augustin, Abrams SG Gibson, Mason, Taylor SF Durant, Evans PF Tucker, Owens C Mihm, Achtley, Klotz Team B PG TJ, Brown SG Ivey, Harris SF Bradley, Mouton PF James, Boddicker, Pittman C Aldridge, Thomas, Buckman
Team B, strength up the middle, much stronger, and quicker. I don't see team B getting blocked at the rim like Mihm was.
Pittman at PF, Alridge at C? Definitely offense (A) against defense (B). I'll take B to impose their will and win ugly.
Let me get this straight... Mouton / Bradley is going to guard Durant? That would get ugly. The rest of the matchups are pretty balanced. Team A wins handily assuming PJ Tucker plays nice. People forget that he was the Big-12 Player of the Year. Dude was a beast.
As much as i loved guys like TJ, Aldridge, and Mouton...Give me team A ALLLL day. I might move Abrams to SG, and have a starting 5 like this... PG Augustine SG Abrams SF Durant PF Tucker C Mihm And if we're talking about Atchley as a Jr, with Gibson off the bench as a back up pgl, that team is literally unguardable. Team B has alot better depth though, so you're really splitting hairs.
Team A in a landslide. Did you know that Brad Buckman's dad roomed with Ben Crenshaw & they were teammates together (along with Tom Kite) on the 1972 Golf Championship Team.
My guess is probably Ivey would take Durant and Bradley would be on Gibson, but I would agree that Mouton would start over Bradley imo, especially since Team B is short on offense.
