I wonder if Chiles gave up number 7 to be a good guy. Well played if so! Or maybe he wants a fresh start.
We have some talented young WRs. Saw some of the highlights and #81 Timmons and #86 McCrary were both featured. Timmons has a big frame listed at 6-3, 201. McCrary is listed as 6-4. I am hoping McCrary can become Gilbert's go to guy ala McCoy to Shipley. Then we have Davis and the rest of the true frosh coming in for the summer. Man the offense is going to be absolutely loaded.
We should all be as lucky as Shannon Kelly. married to a millionaire and fish for a living. Where do I sign up? I saw the note about McCrary. I'd love to see that guy on the field. He doesn't drop anything.
I'm interested to see how Timmons will progress this spring. Losing Shipley and Collins, along with sub par years from Kirkendoll, Williams and Chiles really opens up the competition at receiver. This kid seems to have a lot of skill and size, so hopefully he can prove to the coaches that he can be a play maker and hold on to the ball.
hmmm...imo from watching practice we conservatively used the h back in the backfield during 11 on 11 scrimmage situations. We did some, with mixed reviews, however, it is early. Remember, this is a "situational position" that can be very effective with the right player.
